My hubby loves Robin Trower and we just stumbled on this new to us genius Gary Hoey. Wow holy crap were amazed, enthralled and thoroughly enjoy the show.

Yeah, have to agree, he captures that Robin Trower sound. I have only discovered this guy, an amazing guitar player. Blew me away.

Gary is not only a great player but one of the most genuinely good guys to ever be a professional musician. Thanks datflys

you should check out Chris Duarte if you haven't heard of him. He's also one of the most talented and nicest guys you'll ever meet.

As an avid surfer I saw Endless Summer II movie the day of its release in theaters and was impressed with the movie soundtrack so next day I got the CD and its still my favorite guitar album of all time. The album is a clinic especially la rosa negra and walkin the nose, not a bad song in that album. Thank you Mr Gary!!

Gary Hoey is best if bests. His music gave me new feelings. I am very experienced Rock brother. TASTE. Not so many guitar players have that.This is that very rare case when one gets the feeling that the guitar is singing. AMAZING.

For 20 years, Endless Summer II and Animal Instinct have been among my favorite albums. They are as fresh today as they ever were, just like Van Halen I. Love Gary's phrasing, tone, everything. I've never seen him live, but I'm going to make a point to. Thank you Gary for two fantastic albums.

Thanks for posting this. I'm going to see him tonight in Derry, NH and this was a perfect primer for the show.

This guy's awesome love all his stuff wish he'd come to corpus christi tx unfortunately we're not really known as a blues friendly town hardly ever get any blues guys like hoey tab benoit eric gales lance lopez etc we gotta travel to Austin or Houston to enjoy shows like these 😢

As an European I didn't know who Gary was until I played a Christmas song in Rocksmith 2014 from him, afterwards I googled him and I was immediately a fan.

Anyone else think the Killing In the Name Of riff sounds a lot like Blast?? I have always thought this.... not saying anyone copied anyone, just very similar sounding.
