Written by Stevie Wonder and then Aretha sparsed it up and added that great soul and embellished it so well. Gary takes it to another great level. This song is a timeless masterpiece that will channel itself through many more artists for years to come. Great rendition, Gary.

Aretha’s is soulful and she puts her heart and soul into the lyrics. When she sings, she is telling a story and her emotions can be felt when I listen to her. Aretha’s, being the original version, is the best, in my opinion. In your opinion, what is it that makes Bobby Caldwell’s version the better of the 2?

The best version ever is by Bobby Caldwell.

Good voice and a great tune to cover, but he needs to upgrade his wardrobe. He looks like he just got done parking cars in the lot.
