    Joey, I just gotta give you a shout out for your tests and your channel. Very helpful especially for rookies like me! I like the MI-4 out of the three. But it seems like it needs about 5- 10 seconds after turning it on before it was finding the quarter. The Tek-point looks good but the volume seemed a little too low for my bad ears. One thing about the Tek-point that's nice is that it takes 2AA batteries. Both look good. Keep on truckin dude!👍

    Thanks for making this video. I've used 2 garrot carrots underwater but get tired of its constantly chirping, even after dosing the internals with contact/oxidization cleaner. Will check the XI-4, given limited depth with Tek-Point.

    Yeah, that's regular electric tape. Protects the tip, good idea for edge of coils too for detectors, so that no black sand can seep in between the coil cover and coil.

    I know this is a older video, but since this video what would be your go to pinpointer? If you can only choose one pinpointer? I’ve had the original Garret pinpointer, the Minelab 35, the Nokta PULSEDIVE and now the Garrett At Pro carrot pinpointer. Out of all of those I definitely prefer the Garrett Carrot. How are you liking the new Quest pinpointer that has the iron audio? Im thinking about getting that or the XP M14 Thx Kody

    Hi Kody.. Ok well the most used of all my pointers right now is the XP-M14 and the Tek-Point. the ( Garrett Carrot is just fine as well) they all do basically the same thing. The Quest X-Pointer is a nice pointer but it has very stiff buttons! id say get the XP-M14... It NEVER hardly needs to be recharged.. and just feels like a SOLID piece of TECH - Joey

    @@VegasDtech thanks for quick reply. One thing I really like about the Garrett Carrot is that you don’t have to look down to find the button to turn On/Off. Is the MI4 the same way? Out of all pointers I’ve used the Nokta Pulsedive has to be the worse trying to find the button to turn on/off. I see Paystreak using the MI4 mostly so I’m guessing there is a reason for that…lol.

    Tek-Point is really good at ratcheting in and does what it suppose to,PINPOINT. However, the simplex+ gets really noisy and chirpy when I use the Tek-Point PI,not sure why because the PP is pulse induction but the simplex+ isn't. Nice demo for sure demonstrating density with rice. Gotta love it! Real world of course would be soil which may change the test results. Maybe, you can do another test and see,I'm curious. Fill that same VANS shoe box with Dirt and place the coin there and see....nice video Joey!

    Well , i guess i will be getting the Teknetics Tek-Point pinpointer . Companies should hire people like you for testing their products and showing to viewers but more importantly recalling their weak performing products from the market. Companies shout make their products always better or upgrade them, especially after watching a video like yours. I was going to purchase the Garett but i don't think so , unless they can upgrade it better than the Teknetics Tek-Point. I have a question : It is possible to upgrade the chip or the pin pointer at home to make it better by changing the detection chip ?

    Yeah, would be great to see if people that knows a lot about electronics could hack or upgrade the chip for detection. I think they would need to study or take apart more expensive metal detection equipment than apply those upgrades to lower priced metal detectors.

    Tech point works great in the sand at the beach you know what the salt water it works with the pulse induction is the best detector for the beach in salt water the pulse induction and your metal detector won’t go off it doesn’t like the other ones make your metal tactor go off in your pen born it goes off with the metal will take her laying next to it the checkpoint blocks all that out and for the soil or the sand at the beach it’s supposed to be real good for salt water and that’s the one I’m fixing to buy I like to the McDermott Notre for however you say it it’s good and loud and they’re waterproof too but for $30 more of the post post induction that’s the one I’m going with in my note and be my second one goat it be my go to one because it’s good and loud I don’t know I’m not gonna get to Garrett

    If the "point" of the pinpointer is to go deep. Why use a metaldetector...?? The point is to find stuff in shallow dirt you have already dug to "pinpoint it" So i don't get it... i used a 10 dollar chinese pinpointer who got the job done. I'm more into usabillity... Maby make a vid about that? :)

  • @VegasDtech

    @VegasDtech

    Жыл бұрын

    The point for me is the digging of large holes trying to extract the target.. if a $10 chinese made unit worked (GP-POINTER) I would save money and use that.. But I find them very weak and I end up Digging Huge messy Plugs'.. The stronger pointers like the Pulse Induction.. Will Hit 3/5 inches down letting you know FOR SURE you are OVER your target. . helping to cut smaller plugs and not attracting the attention of grounds keepres watching you tear up their Fields..
