Very useful, good explanations, thank you very much!
Fantastic review. Thanks so much for posting, it has really helped me out. Liked & subscribed. Much ❤
Thank you for the review! I can understand Venu SQ2 is for me!
So helpful, thank you! Great quality and pacing. Wish I didn't see the neat visuals on the nicer watch!😆
U were awesome explaining everything thx u!!!!!!!😊😊
Great deep dive. I would have liked to see how notifications are handled. Thanks
You mentioned only one difference in both models, but the non music model does not have the wifi connect. I went with the non music version. Just got it yesterday and your video is a big help. Thanks.

It really bugs me that you can’t chose which notifications you want to receive to your watch and that it mirrors your phone! It doesn’t make any sense to me that I can’t chose to only receive text and phone call notifications on my watch without turning all other notifications off on my phone. The watch has a different purpose than my phone.

In the app, you can disable the 'all applications' option and then select only app you would like to receive notifications for. I got this watch yesterday and only have notifications for around 8-10 of the apps on my phone.

so almost wonderful beautiful video friend i love it the watch like with the apple watch
Very helpful video! Question, on the ski mode will it still separate out the descent distance, average speed etc and not include the uphill lift speed and distance? I know that you’ll have to press the lap button since there isn’t an altimeter but just curious on what data is collected
this is exactly what I need
Thank you for the review. I haven’t yet found a review on the pool swim mode. Can you start / stop as you’re swimming for splits and toggle to Drill mode. Does this watch have open water swim feature?
very nice watch. thinking about change my gritXpro for this garmin.
Great video! Very complete and helpful. I'd like to know if there is an airplane mode, or if it's possible to turn off bluetooth to avoid electromagnetic emissions while sleeping. Thank you in advance!
Hi, can you change the sounds? For example, if I don't like the beeping sound, can I upload my own custom sound and use that as the beeping sound?
Great demonstation. Do you know whether this or any other Garmin watches have an activity profile for SkiErgs like the Concept2? Will SkiErg strokes be counted if using the indoor rowing activity profile? Thanks!
Excellent walkthrough sir. Now that you have seen the Apple Watch 8, how does it compare? I'm looking to downgrade from a Fenix to a smarter watch. 8 hours of GPS is my explanation
When you test the Apple Watch ultra just announced is there any chance you could show test the viewranger app and a later comparison with fenix 7 specifically for multi day hiking navigation would be great. Thanks Oh and how well does it work in the rain/with gloves
Does the connect iq app for cycling power meter work with this watch, as it does with the Venu 2 Plus?
Thank you
I have Venu SQ 1 as my first Garmin watch and I love them, but today I found on Garmin Legacy Hero Series (First Avenger) on sale for 200 bucks , so I ordered them because of how they look, but later on I found that it is the same like Vivoactive 4. So I thinking about getting Venu SQ 2 instead for the new software and I'm a bit worried about the display going from quite sharp and nice LCD panel to translucent one. What do you think guys? Should I keep the vivoactive 4 or go for the new SQ 2?
Thanks for this info could you please do a comparison with this and the new Apple Watch
Hi The one thing I am looking to learn is the calendar glance. How can it be edited? There are items/notifications I am needing to get rid of.
Hello, I would like to know how to check our walking history of the garmin venu sq 2 watch and where to go. thank you

How do you change the gont size on your watch? Thank you.
Decent little watch, a little small on my wrist but I enjoy it.
I'm new to fitness tracking Just got this watch yesterday My daily sport is badminton What feature should I use in this watch?😅
Question for anyone that knows... Since Audible is owned by Amazon, is it possible to download Audible book files onto this watch?

Do you think that this is still worth a year later? Considering the Venu 3, but I can't justify the cost, as I am walking the most.
While I love the form factor, the UI seems slow and jittery. Also a missing Trek feature is a shame at this price. I am going with a FR255 instead but I want to know how it is with strength training? Thanks.
How exactly can you broadcast heart rate in Bluetooth mode? When I broadcast the hear rate, my Garmin edge can detect it, but zwift on IPhone can’t detect it.
For music? Can I simply copy my mp3 files to the watch or do I have to load those songs from a specific, approved Garmin, source? Pending the answer I'm moving to this from my Fitbit Versa 2 whose battery is quickly dying. No more Fitbits for me. Excellent video!!

Can you add raw mp3 files to the smartwatch?
I have the SQ 1 and was hoping that maybe the SQ 2 would have a barometric altimeter in it. As it does not I will not upgrade to the SQ 2 but more likely to the Venu 2, where you get a lot more features for only a little extra money. And yes, the app will calculate your ascent and descent based on topographical data but it is very convenient to have it on your watch when out in mountainous terrain, and in my experience the calculated data is not very accurate either.

Would the GPS signal be adequate to give ascent and Descent information? From where would the watch get Topographic data?
@_J.F_
3 ай бұрын
@@lesliegoa I don't know for a fact where Garmin get's its topographical data from. I do however know that the barometric data from you watch - if you have a barometric altimeter - is considered much more accurate than the topographic data.

Garmin data from my Vivoactive 3, which has a barometric sensor, is rubbish, maybe the air duct is blocked. But Strava gives me an accurate profile of my rides. I really wonder how?
@_J.F_
3 ай бұрын
@@lesliegoa When your GPS is active during an activity the route is mapped and the elevation along that route is taken from whatever mapping service Garmin or Strava uses. When you use a barometric altimeter in your watch the altimeter is logging altitudes as you go along. To get accurate altitude reading you need to calibrate the altimeter. I have in the mean time got the Fenix 7 Pro and with a calibrated altimeter I find it to be quite accurate.
So you can’t change your music when in workout mode? :( Brb while I cry because that was a big reason I bought this watch. A simple touch instead of grabbing my phone every time.😭
My watch does not allow a health snapshot. When I enter the app, it says that no snapshot is available but there also is no option to start one. Does anybody know, why? My watch does measure the heart rate etc.
So no training status in this watch ?
nice video i have a question i like those sport watches but im not athletic guy i dont have the time to work out i like the look of those fitness smartwatches especially coros can someone with out workout to use as a regular watch thenks
@_J.F_
Жыл бұрын
No. If you do not do any sports then the watch will not work. That is of course a joke because it will work perfectly fine even if you never go for a run or a walk. The thing is that there is no point in you spending money on a watch than can do all sorts of sport and health related things if you are never going to use them. Instead you can buy a very inexpensive watch that have very few or even no extra features.

I guess I'd rather see Garmin working on bringing the same upgrade to forerunner 65 for the same price of 249$. Imagine they update their entry-level watch with multiband support, the latest elevate Gen 4 sensor, and maybe a better and brighter screen for smoother animation, wouldn't that be dope

@@nightsgrow6575 I did find out, and you are correct. The only difference is that the Music version allows you to download and store music directly to the watch. You can still easily control music playing on your phone with the non-music version (play, pause, skip, volume, etc)

How accurate is the step counter?
@_J.F_
Жыл бұрын
The steps are calculated based on the arm movement/swinging for normal walking. If you walk without your arm swinging, e.g. holding on to a lawn mower, shopping cart or similar, the watch will not know that you are walking, and if you e.g. play the drums it might think that you are actually walking. I believe the accuracy improves when you use the "outdoor walk" mode as it connects to GPS, measures the distance walked, and can translate this into a more accurate number of steps, particularly if you have set up the number of steps you take per e.g. 100 yards in the app. The bottom line is that it is not very accurate if you for some reason have a need to know your exact number of steps per day. I believe all wearables work this same way, so it doesn't really matter what watch you choose, the method of counting your steps will be the same.
Can you receive calls on these?
I think this would have been better if it had been broken down into progressive presentations. I simply wanted to know how to start the walk mode, stop the walk mode and clear the walk mode. In this, I failed to be educated in these 3 simple tasks.
