    Thanks for the review. I'm planning on buying one for my hobie mirage outback. Do you have a video on the water? So we can see how it shows in action 😎 I want to buy one that shows HD clear so you can see the fish marks easily. I'll be using it all in salt water. Thanks

    kaanorer99 thank you for watching. Unfortunately, I don’t have an on the water video. I plan on doing so soon in the near further. From my experience, I can easily mark fish on my graph. I’ve also used it for jigging for stripers. You can see ur lure drop down when you’re within the cone. Thanks for watching again and tight lines.

    I have the Striker Plus 5cv and have a couple questions. When viewing the split frequency I can't tell any difference. I mainly fish a small lake, not very deep (15 ft max) and may have brush or weeds in areas. How would I use the different frequencies in this case? I also noticed you use a dedicated battery. My transducer is trolling motor mounted and connected to the same trolling motor battery as well. Would this create any electrical noise issues that I should adjust?

    I am looking at getting this model. If I understand this right, it "plots" the lake floor for me as I go over it yea? Depicting contours and displaying it?

    Josey4u not exactly. It will give you time, depth, temp, and gps coordinates. U will have to manually type in using a scroll or place icon to mark ur waypoints. Hope this helps

    BigC thanks for watching. Try adjusting ur sonar frequency to chirp 455 kHz and adjust ur contrast to your liking. U might have to adjust the gain(sensitivity) too. Hope this helps. Tight lines man!

    when you talking about your mount which ram mount did you get and does the unit swivel or is it stationary? I bought the universal and couldn't add the swivel mount to it.

    Jeffro Caldwell I used the 1 inch ram mount ball and a ram mount short arm. My unit is able to swivel. What I had to do is place a large aluminum washer and 2 large rubber washers underneath the bracket. I then placed a 1/4 20 screw in the ram ball and fed it through the bracket. I secured it with a lock nut. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

    I used the universal mount and left off the swivel base. In the rare event I need to swivel it, I just loosen the Ram Mount and swivel it.

  • @betavinasmokewolf9890

    @betavinasmokewolf9890

    Joshua Munoz I’m assuming simulator mode is for display. Also, I think it gives u an opportunity to play around with the different setting on simulator mode to see what you do or don’t like. For example, increasing or decreasing sensitivity or ping speed. Thanks for watching. Tight lines!

    bbushert at 1:03 you have to go to traditional sonar. What you want is called the A-scope in settings. I like that view. On 1:20 and 1:52 shows how to get to the A-scope. When I say preference, its the button with 3 lines. Hope this helps! Hope you were able to change your language setting on your fish finder.

    What’s the difference with clear view and down view ???

  • @betavinasmokewolf9890

    @betavinasmokewolf9890

    5 жыл бұрын

    FishOnTv sorry to respond so late. Clear view with chirp adds more power to the sonar than traditional 2d sonar. You can identity fish better. Down view is used for identifying structures. More detailed picture in down view. Harder to detect fish in down view. Clear view will present fish as arches. In down view, fish appears as dots. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

    Mine just went black wont come back on. No chirp sound when i comes up nothing.It is getting 12 volts of power at the unit but nothing. Its just went black on the way in in the black of night . Anyone have a idea ? Is there a reboot process or a reset by a menu button combo ? Or did it die after 2 summers in Michigan ? I'm not a happy fisherman right now !

    Brian Loeffler I’m sorry to hear about your unit. I had an old battery that didn’t charge well. I did notice my unit would shut off and turn on with a blank screen with the old battery. I believe there is a setting where it shuts off at or below a certain voltage. I think it’s 12v try fully charging ur battery and see what happens. Idk how long ur warranty is on ur unit but u can call garmin for tech support. Hope this helps.

    Shania Shay garmin is a good brand and so are others. It really depends on how much you are willing to spend. If you look at fish finders specifications online, it should tell you the depth range. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
