I am a supporter of England but the truth of this Euro tournament is Spain have been the most outstanding team and England the least outstanding team. England also had an easy grouping. Imagine if we had had to play Spain, Italy, Germany or France in the early stages. We would have been home ages ago. It will take a miracle for us to be bringing home the trophy. It is a foregone conclusion that Spain will win.

I am amazed we are here! Genuinely amazed! Whilst I am a true Brit and would love nothing more than to win; I genuinely cannot see us being able to defeat Spain! Technically we are miles apart! However; we pray and stranger things have happened I guess!

I've been very critical of Southgate this tournament but he managed to get us to a secobd consecutive final. I don't think he's the best in game manager but no doubt he has had a very positive impact on the players and the team in general in terms of team unity, ability to cope under pressure, creating moments when needed and winning penalty shootouts and that's been enough in this case to get us to the final. Not the prettiest football, but these changes were needed. If he does get replaced I just hope the new manager can continue with these changes.

At 1-0 up and Italy up against the ropes, England dropped back and tried to defend the lead. The rest is history and that will not be forgiven until England beat Spain on Sunday or at the very least put on a fighting performance. One more chance for Southgate.

Your not gna have much of the ball when we do need too break we need legs. Watkins has the legs over kane.

Everyone wants to be loved, right?🥺 That was quite heartbreaking to hear. I don't care whether you agree with all of his decisions or not, no one deserves some of the things that were being said about him. He got so much abuse. He's easily the most successful England manager of the last 50+ years. Beyond the back to back Euro finals, there wasn't even an ounce of this team spirit, mental toughness or pride in the past.

In stark contrast to Spain yes England have done well to overcome the many minnows they have beaten by the odd goal. dubious penalties and penalty shootouts. I just wonder what they would be like if they did not have the huge funding they have, the best facilities, stadiums and of course the level of expertise foreign players and managers that have been attracted to the domestic game from the many Betting coy's that plough money into the Premiership. .

To be fair, the whole euros has been awful and how many teams have actually impressed? France have been rubbish. Italy? Rubbish. Germany looked very decent but lost in the knockouts. The Netherlands? Just their usual selves. You know they will never go all the way. England? Rubbish (apart from the Dutch game). You see? Mostly everyone has been shite. So if we become champions by being shite ourselves, we will still be the champions. Lastly, it’s not all luck really, is it? If it was, Scotland may have gone further. If the sport was based on luck, we’d see Wales and Ireland actually doing something at international level. You make your own luck in this world sonny. Now think on.
