I love working with brick and just did a very similar path through my garden too. Loved that your daughter came to help as well as the sweet little Robin! A pleasure to watch 😊❤

I am hoping to visit Norfolk Herbs on Saturday. My shopping list is ready so if all goes to plan it will all be planted up at the weekend.

I expect you may know this already but some supermarkets sell growing herbs in pots in the fruit and veg section. Got my rosemary, parsley etc from Asda £1 each. I hardened them off for several days before planting them out. I believe Aldi might be even cheaper. Your front garden is coming along nicely. I did my brick path myself as well as the brick edging along the front of my borders. The bricks literally fell off the back of a lorry into a farmers field going round a bend. Several years later they were still there so other half and me collected them, would you believe, on our bikes!!! Keep up the good work.

Great salvage! 😊 That reminds me of a garden project Mark & I did when we first met - we salvaged bricks from a random rubble heap 😊

It is always a joy to watch you out in the garden Louisa - and you always look so stylish. I loved the featured little robin and watching Maple in the background. The path looked great - you must be so very pleased. Great help from Rowan too.

Have you cultivated a relationship with the bird or did it just pop up, quite lovely? I have done brick paths before, you will enjoy it more because you did it. There is something enjoyable about digging in the dirt. From NC/USA

What a difference the two paths have made. You can definitely see the garden forming a design shape now plus you have reduced the pile of bricks. I would suggest, if you do not mind, putting a little of the soil between the brick just to hold then in situ. This could be done with a little hand brush. I love to use the term 'rustic' to use whenever I do something which has not turned out quite right. Works every time in my rule book! Lovely to see Rowan giving you a helping hand too. Great to see teamwork. All of your video content is wonderful and varied and enjoyable, Sophie.
