Garden tractor implements , attachments, DIY, overview
DIY , attachments, Front blade, rear grader blade, dirt buster , trencher. Home made
This was a John Deere I bought used about 4 years ago. It has a Kohler 16hp Engine, K62 rear axle. This used the same drive unit as the garden tractor that was a notch above this at the time. The only difference was this one doesn’t have the lugs on the tires and tires are a little smaller. The 3 point hitch has been the most useful part and has saved a lot of backbreaking work! You're a genius 😊
Thanks for share! It´s a great improvment that you made for the tractor.
Great job! 👏
That's awesome. I need a welder. I took a welding class at communuity college before I joined the Marines. I have pondered about going to welding school again just to learn for home and farm use. Redneck ingenuity is built to last, I'll take that over any Crapsman today.

Thank you! I have a pretty cool upgrade coming up for the rear hitch I am looking forward to showing in the next few weeks. Thanks again !
Hell yeah buddy 👍
Clever way to fill those tires, and use of winches. What would we do without HF?
Great mods ! Now you have time to learn how to weld. Good luck.
The winch on the rear has a better ratio for lifting and lowering than the front winch which could do with a reduction or just a pulley block fitted to change it to a slower more controllable adjustment. This is a great system and I like the attachments you have which are similar to what I am looking to make for my ride on mower. I am wanting to make a rear towable blade attachment for leveling area and an edge cutting blade. Great stuff... thanks for the ideas.

Thank you. Yes I plan on moving some dirt in the coming weeks I’ll do my best to post that. Also keep an eye out I’m working on A clamshell Bucket attachment for the front plow. Thanks for the feed back!

How did you get the fluid in to the tires?
@braddegraffenreid9106
3 жыл бұрын
I pulled the valve stem out. I then put the valve at the 12:00 location. You then want to let the Weight of the tractor flatten the tire, then I took a tube from the windshield washer fluid that was at a higher elevation and connected it to the valve stem. Then jack the tractor up off the ground and it will cause a vacuum that will pull the fluid in. I repeated this cycle six or seven times until it wouldn’t pull anymore in. Hopefully this helps! If you have any other questions and I can help please message me.

They are a 20X10x8. I got them off of Amazon but for what ever reason I can’t find my tire size on there to send you the exact link, but I am sending you a link with the same tire style and brand. www.amazon.com/dp/B07CB8S7VL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_PG2MMATADQ8780JR153V

Yes that 160 would be a great Machine to use. Have a great day!
just curious, if you were to replace the front plow with something like a bobcat bucket (if it weren't too heavy?), do you think it could support the weight of say a small amount of dirt? that would be amazing to have around the house tho, great engineering btw

Thanks for the question. I think it would hold the weight.. I’m in the process of making a detachable clamshell bucket for the front of that to move dirt. The only issue I am worried about is the Steering will get harder. I hope in the next few weeks to have a video showing the clam shell bucket being used and I will be able to give you a better answer.

I just sent you the link. I hope that helps. That is the exact tire I got. I also added fluid to the tires after I got them. It helped a LOT! I pushed snow without using chains about a week ago with no issues.

@@braddegraffenreid9106 Red neck? That does look red neck. That's not necessarily bad thing. You know that name came from farmers getting sunburns on the back of their necks. That didn't happen from laying around the pool, but from being out in the field all day! PEACE!
