Don’t lose hope over your bougainvillea! 🌸 Mine do that every winter in Northern California. Sometimes twice! They always come back beautifully 💗

@@ALLISONBICKERSTAFF only one of my neighbors still have color. I don’t know why it happens, but I’ve had them 5 years and they come back each summer. The light pink seem to struggle the most, but the purple and dark pink do well. Just hang in there! 🌸

My grandparents are snow birds and have a house in Lakeland Fl, not far from Orlando. Every year I try and go see them for a week in the winter and the sound of those birds in this video is just bringing me back and making me want to be in Florida right now!!
Your response to the camera falling 😂 love it 💕
Also remember the raised beds tend to be dryer (because of the drainage and airflow) compared to plants in the ground so any plants in the raised beds need more water than you think!

Hi Allison! You might want to keep the pine needles as mulch! Just remove it, plant your flowers and then top it off with the pine needles. I’m so excited for you! You will Regina have a colorful spring 😍
Idky but I just loved the "are u ok it's kinda windy" 😄
I think that you would love planting vinca. They are beautiful flowers, and they are so low maintenance. I live in Nashville, and it gets super hot here in the summer. They can take the heat, and they grow really well.🌺
Allison, you absolutely bring me so much peace and joy. I really need to start thinking about my gardening beds, as it does bring so much peace

I live in a caribean island. We dont have crazy winters at all, and my biugainvillea still does that like once everyear. It can be in the middle of summer or in "winter" it loses all its leaves and seems dry and then come back to life, new leaves , new flowers. Our variety grows tall and crazy so we have to trim it from time to time, and that helps to grow green again.
your precious garden and your fond of nature is really inspiring me to start gardening too💫 so thankful for you and your channel

Make sure you collect the seeds off the lettuce plants if they got to that point! That’s probably where the baby lettuce sprouts came from. Free seeds!🌱
I've been so looking forward to a gardening video 😍I don't have a garden but 2 balconies and I've been planning on planting flowers and more colorful plants this season. We only have some simple green leave plants and berries (which unfortunately some didn't have fruits last year). I'm so excited to see all those bees and insects coming to those flowers! Regarding your side garden which doesn't look that happy, you could maybe put a worm box there. It's a box with worms (who would have guessed that😅) where you can throw all your biological garbage in there and you will get very nutrient dense compost out of it. It's definitely worth taking a look into.
Love gardening 🌹 I have raised beds also. Mostly veggies. We'll see. Cross my fingers 🤌. I do better with florals. When I garden I don't think about anything else except what I'm doing it's relaxing to me even though it can be hard work. Can't wait to see your results. Enjoy Happy spring 🌱🌱🌱

I love garden days with Allison. I went back and watched her ask if we were ok when the camera blew over that was so stinking cute. As always thank you for the amazing and unique content. Definitely looking forward to more spring season videos.
I live in southeast Virginia and despite the extreme heat wave we had last summer, I ended up over watering my tomato plants. I got a few tomatoes but I’m hoping I’ll do better this year and have a more successful crop.

The “weed” growing by your peppers looks like dandelion! dandelion greens are soooo good for you. They support liver detox & bile flow. If you pull them, throw the leaves in salad or make tea with it!
Thanks so much for another beautiful video. I used to garden a lot and especially loved my flowers. One important thing I learned over the years was that good earth was key to success. When I started a new bed I realized that digging out at least a foot down and then filling it with black earth and a little peat moss and bone meal would help so much and that initial hard work payed off for years.
It's currently -27 degrees Celsius where I'm from so this was a nice mini "vacation" without spending the big bucks!! I'm itching to get into my garden! 🌺🌼 thanks for all you do, Allison!
Love your videos and this makes me so happy for spring and all the beautiful fresh flowers. You could put walking stone where the dead grass is on the side of your house and make a little secret garden! Can’t wait to see your garden evolve💕

Allison, you are such a delight. praying for God's continual abundance of His favour and blessing in this precious season of life that you are in 🤍 you are also such an incredible homemaker xx
Good morning Allison. About weeds... and identifying them and plants. IF you have an Iphone... take a photo of it. THEN go to your photos, click on that one and swipe up. There will be a "plant Look Up" line. click on it and it takes you to "siri knowledge" and will identify it for you. It is pretty accurate!
The lettes "bolted" which you can take the seeds and save them! The baby lettes is from the seeds falling and they self seeded themselves.
That little greenery near your peppers is a weed. Lavender likes to be not crowded unless with other lavenders❤
Love the vibe of your videos! Small gardening tip I learned that was a huge help, when watering avoid getting the leaves wet and focus on soaking the base. With the hot sun, wet leaves will fry, and will slowly make your plant lose leaves. And water the base more than you think you should 😊
OMG! The season of my favourite videos is starting! 🧚♀️🍄 This kind of videos are my favourite, and your talent for editing and videography is amazing! ✨🌻 Keep up the good work girl! Greetings from Europe! 🌍💚

Can’t wait to see your updates 🌸🌼🌷💐
Your videos are always such a joy❤️My great grandparents escaped the local regime in the 1940s and moved to Florida from Europe. I've never met them but it's interesting to see videos from that State. How utterly different it is - it's snowing here right now but I'm planning to soon start some seeds indoors for the garden season.
One plus for a landscaper is the guarantee on the plants which is cost effective should certain plants don’t take. Also irrigation.
I live in zone 9b and my bougainvillea has done the same thing. It’s dormancy. Perfectly normal. It’ll bounce back late spring/early summer. Mine does that every year then comes back thicker.

I love all your videos, but I originally started watching because I also live in central FL and have been trying to learn about gardening. So these are my favorite :)
Yes everything needs watering
Such an inspiration! I have a small backyard and definitely want to create raised flower beds!
Love this little garden video❤👍
Hi Allison I'm a seasoned gardner. Yes thats a weed , also you need to plant your Milkweed in the ground. Milkweed gets quite tall.Lavender likes sandy soil and on the dry side. Ornamental grasses are good against a fence, you can layer other flowers in the front. I have a large pollinator garden, also a 30 year lawn buisness good luck and happy gardening
Have you thought about installing a drip irrigation system for your garden beds? I installed one recently by myself, and it is very doable and a game-changer!
Don’t worry about your bougainvillea. It is very common for the leaves to drop at a freeze. It will come back. I have one that is 20 years old and the leaves fall every Winter. Yay for happy gardening videos!
That was inspiring and enjoyable 🌸💖
You are the only KZreadr for me who inspires me in so many ways, your positive attitude, charming smile and the cutest and inspiring videos just make my day 😍😍😍😍🌻🌻🌻🌻 Also, myself and my husband, we had our first gardening session last year and what we experienced is planting veggies directly in the ground is much better. You will get a bit more space there and garden beds are best for herbs like basil, oregano, parsley etc. and it's convenient too. Try with a small patch of land and try to grow your favourite veggies there ☺☺☺ Just thought to share our experience 😍
I had a pretty awful afternoon, this vlog made me laugh and smile again 😊 Super cute & inspiring as always ❤️
You have inspired me to grow "something" this year! LOL 🤣🤣🤣
Lovely video. Thanks for sharing 👍 🥰
Hi Allison, We grow Bougainville in Vegas and ours dies out in the winter and comes back even better. When we got ours I read that they can do that while the roots are trying to establish (and too many folks give up and yank them out too soon and they would have thrived after a couple of years).
I am so jealous! Your garden is gorgeous! We are still buried under 2 feet of snow with more on the way, so I have a few months before I can start planting. Haha!
I live in SoCal and my bougainvilleas always look pretty terrible this time of year, but they always bounce back in the later spring. Good luck with your bougainvillea!
i just love your style so much , so feminine and beautiful xx
YES TO GARDEN WEATHER!!!! 🌱🌸
I love your hat Allison! So cuteee
Sweet olive or some people call them tea plants would be lovely lining the fence area. They have some small delicate white flowers and are very fragrant!

I planted zinnias last year and had such a huge problem with beetles eating them! Same with birds. I looked outside and saw a bird yanking petals out individually 😂
Hi Allison! Love your channel so much! I also live in central Florida and you’ve inspired me to direct sow flower seeds! I’m starting from scratch so watching your prior years videos to learn and see since I know you’ve had success! I’m so lost with the soil, but just took note of what you used in this video and I’m gonna do the same, unless you’ve had issues? Any guidance on the soil- mine is just sandy nothingness- also do squirrels dig up your dead’s or eat the flowers? We have tons of squirrels which I’ve loved before and now wonder if they’re gonna go after my seeds lol. Thanks so much for creating such beautiful content and sharing your life with us! ❤
So wholesome
I love this! I want to start a little mini garden, but live in an apartment! Do you have any tips for little plants that can grow in apartments? Also, what a sweet thing it is to have such a beautiful garden, thanks for sharing it with us! 🪴 💛
Indoor plant question! do you take your plants outside to water? Or how do you water them inside without them leaking everywhere?
Love all your beautiful videos! Thank you for your inspiration. Just FYI milk weed can be toxic to dogs so be careful that cute Palmer steers clear.

@@ALLISONBICKERSTAFF I guess it's going to be a surprise for me. I got a multicolor packet of seeds so I don't know what colors they will be. But the plants are growing so fast it amazes me🤗. Hopefully soon I see flowers🌸
I have blackberries and every year, we have to trim down the dead vines, so that may be what you archway plant is doing
Hell we live in Texas and we are haveing trouble with some bushes they say just for just to wait for spring. I did not plant anything yet because the weather is still funky nice one day cold one day. A,ready got seeds and ready to go.
Love the video. Where did you get the arch from the one at your door?
your bougainvillea could just be dormant! scrap the bark and if it's still green inside then it's most likely just preparing for seasonal changes :)
I think your lettuce went to seed probably due to hot weather. It doesn't like the heat. It's nice to see it reseeded itself. If it can grow before it gets to warm to harvest that would be great. Lorraine
