Garbage Trucks on Heavy Manual Commercial: Leach 2R-II Rear Loader and Heil Half-Pack Front Loader

This video was filmed at a local "Luxury Shopping Center" which is evidently too high-end to have dumpsters for all of its garbage. Instead, it is set out in manual bins - or, just piled up - outside of each store.
Showcased in this video is a Long Island Waste Services Mack MRU Heil Half-Pack packing piles of retail garbage with a makeshift carry-can (how often do you see a fl with a carry can doing commercial?!), and a Jamaica Ash Mack RD Leach 2R-II packing restaurant garbage in manual bins, as well as a pile outside a makeup store. A Winters Bros. Mack LR Heil Powertrak was also working in the shopping center and can be seen driving by at 3:00.
We then follow Jamaica Ash's 2R-II to a drive-thru (manual) and a supermarket (overfilled 1/2 yard dumpsters).
A huge thank you goes out to the incredibly friendly and helpful crew on Jamaica Ash's 2R-II for doing this grueling route 6 days a week! The hard work of all of the sanitation workers featured in this video is greatly appreciated, this garbage is certainly far from light.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy: 30 minutes of Garbage Trucks on Manual Commercial!

I love old school rear end trucks in action and especially Leachs but it just seems very inconvenient to use this type of disposal system for large businesses and or offices IMO. Dumpsters are the obvious way to go. But I love this old beast! Great work!

Strange way to empty bins!, two steel bars and a winch, be easier to use a truck with a proper bin lifter!

There’s probably a more efficient way to empty them but I found it entertaining. These 1/2 yarders are usually used for demo waste so it was cool to see them in this application

This is totally unacceptable the way this is set up. There should be dumpers. If I were the owner of these waste companies, I wouldn't bid on the work with these requirements.

A lot of companies have this policy some don’t and say it’s part of the job. In my eyes there losing money have them rent a roll off from the company or get another dumpster. But some towns have a bring to the curb anything go once a year though. The place I work we have 15 different size dumpster 12 1.5 yards and then 3 5 yard dumpster that get 3 pick ups a week. And always have a 20 yard roll off.
