Garbage Truck Driver POV - Dennis Elite 2 - Superior Pak Raptor

Another Go-Pro POV driving video I've been sitting on for over 2 years.
This time it's a Dennis Elite 2 with a Superior Pak Series 4 Raptor body.
Enjoy!

the thing that gets me with dennis pov's is how wide the truck feels despite it still being the typical 2.5m in width that most trucks are in australia and other European countries. good stuff

Good idea having 2 steering wheels as it makes it easier to see bins and having a side collector which eliminates the need of extra bin men. Alot different here as the loading bit as the back is at the back and have 3 or 4 bin men running around collecting bins every 50 yrds.

Yea nice zack this is about the 100th time I’ve watched this video lol 😂 It’s going to be a disappointment not seeing this truck going round Maitland anymore I think I would prefer Iveco over anything Craig said he didn’t like this truck he said it was shit don’t know about the other council blokes Craig also said he was excited for his new truck but also said he might miss it anyway cheers zack hopefully might see you some day in a truck again also how come you don’t drive anymore does other council jobs pay better?

@Ivecofan21 do you do things in the council office now instead of driving the garbo trucks? What was your favourite truck to drive out of the current council fleet?

Howdy, I was wondering how do you know how to line up next to the bin please? is there something on the screen? I know years of experience is why you can do it, but how would a person new to this know when to stop on the right spot? thanks and kind regards

Pretty much mate, after picking up 1,000 plus bins a day it just becomes second nature. You’ll workout pretty quickly when to start slowing down on approach to the bin. It’s all done off the mirrors, when they’re positioned and angled the correct way you know they’re in line with the grabs. The reparative nature of the job too helps to hone the skill.
