I never really liked the band I got to admit 🤷🏼 Garbage and Placebo were both super popular with the Indie kids and I just couldn't stand them. But okay, you didn't have to please everyone back then, that was actually what made the independent thought in the 90s, wasn't it ? 😉

@@stefankaiser3354 I saw both Placebo and Garbage at the same festival here in Athens, Greece, a day apart, in 1999. They were brand new to me (especially Placebo, I didn't even know them), but both of them were so good. What music did you like in the '90s?

Ain't no way the bass player is actually playing that bass

I was at TRNSMT last week and this sounded absolutely incredible. Really powerful. Sadly a lot of the crowd were really young and more interested in scrolling on their phones, not only during Garbage but pretty much the whole day. A lot of them just treated the bands on the stage as background music while they chatted to pals and messed about on their mobiles. Pretty weird to see but times change I suppose.

@@PaulFMillen I remember when this album came out back around 97/98. I was a wee 19/20 year old lad myself at the time (I’m 46 now). This album was a huge hit in Canada back in the day. I remember the commercials saying “Everyone keeps saying Today’s best music is garbage… and they’re right!” 😂

I know when I was back home last time I had to rely on KZread for all things British as the players of all channels blocked over there. I did have an android box for a while but my landlord was too cheap to get decent Internet ( we rented rooms) he also wouldn't put a separate router on our level it was hell.

@@PaulFMillen yes I use one of those VPN/DNS services (smartdnsproxy) to unlock it on my devices. you just punch some numbers into your router. It also unlocks all the channels and apps from places like Australia, New Zealand, and USA. Its worth it! like $20 a year.

that crowd has NO HEARTBEAT.! a total waste.! i had the honour of seeing them, multiple times, at their peak. the crowd was a glorious RUCKUS.! ☺️😊😃😆 ✌🏻🇦🇺🌏🤘🏻

Saw Garbage in the late 90s in a small club. I have never seen a front person with more energy than Shirley Manson. It's burned into my brain.

Still sound amazing as original ..I was there..amazing

This is why I think garbage should be in the rock and roll hall of fame they are so good

Nice to hear Shirley's pipes are still intact. A lot of singers can't make that claim. Genetic lottery.

I love seeing a musician rock a Squier at a big gig. 👍

@@G8GT364CI because people often feel self conscious about having less prestigious brands, and seeing someone on a big stage with a budget brand strikes me as anti-materialistic, anti-pretentious, confident, & cool. She could choose any bass she wanted, and she's got a $300 Squier.

​@@G8GT364CIcos there's a snobbish pressure to be seen using a Fender instead of a Squier or Gibson instead of Epiphone, despite one being the budget version of the other. Ive never been able to stretch to the top end models so I have a Squier Jazz and an Epiphone Thunderbird, and even a Warwick Rockbass is considered to be the "inferior" of a Warwick Corvette. With the latter, I can still get some evil tones from it, just like that lad Martinie from Mudvayne 😅 Inferior my ar53 😂😂

She looks good. Well she sounds terrible. I don't know who she is but she's out Of tune. The song is terrible. Her singing is terrible and she needs a stylist and a makeup artist I live in the USA. This wouldn't be popular, 😂 Even 20 or 30 years ago. This would not have been popular

Saw their first album live in Belgium back in 1995 , in a little hall in Brussels ! It was so so refreshing . happy they are still throwing those hits on stage in 2024 !

Ginger Pooley looking stunning. What a fantastic band and sound. I remember having their first album on repeat, not a bad track on it.

Really special and they always were. I love what they do musically; and the darkness in the lyrics always hits home for me.

Still a legendary song , strong performance👍👍💪

I still listen to them constantly, one of my life bands, i would be going nuts if i saw them, i just don't get people now
