My new garbage disposal arrived already wired to plug it into an outlet. Unfortunately, my older unit was hard wired to the disposal switch. Rather than convert the new one to a hard-wired version, I chose to install a new GFCI outlet and box using the wires coming out of the old disposal. Let me show you how I did it.
