Eh, I mean in a sense, it's the same thing, but LiftMaster has different models than chamberlain. That opener is the equivalent to the 3255. But that has a square rail, which makes the motor a lot louder.

Once again the opener I have here at my house is a 3840 it's a square rail screw drive and has the same motor as the 3800 Jack shaft but it's much quieter than a standard motor so you see all the noises in what you attach it to not the rail the motor 25 year garage door veteran I have seen and done everything and anything you can think of and after 13 years that opener still does not make a peep

What you take that same real and put it on a 3240 which is in that same era and it sounds like a Volkswagen with a loose tire

Oh yeah convention center home show displays my old boss still owes me about $450 for setting up and tearing down two of those and I didn't even charge him for the time I sat there 3 days in a row
