Awesome build, and great clean video content👍👍 those cases look great. As well as that power valve jug. How do you remove all of the carbon build up?
@kieranmacca9370

Brooks Crocker thanks man, I appreciate it! I usually soak the parts in a parts cleaner and then use scotchbrite to remove the carbon. You could soda blast the parts either if you had a blast cabinet.
Hi. Currently rebuilding an 06 125 engine.but i have a quesyion about the water pump propeller. Do you remember that if there goes a washer behind the propeller or does it mount directly on the water pump gear? Tried both ways an both the options spin freely also no rubbing to the cases or waterpump cover Hope you can help me out asap.
What brand of case 6mm bolts did you use and what grease you using? GREAT video!
@kieranmacca9370

Thanks mate! The bolts are from Bolt Hardware, and I just use copper grease on bolt threads and a waterproof grease for fitting seals and stuff like that.

Are you in the UK or America? The bolt kit is a brand “Bolt” and it’s just an engine hardware kit for Rm125 01-08. The gasket kit is an Athena complete gasket kit. Search both on google you should find a few suppliers. I bought the Bolt kit on eBay
What did u pay for the hot rods kit and where u get it??

You can find the workshop manual for most bikes online. Just search your bike + manual and you should find it. It will have instructions for each job and torque settings for everything.
with how many NM did you torque cylinder up? (4 cylinder nuts)
@kieranmacca9370

25 NM for the cylinder nuts.
Was it hard to find transmission bearing kit??
@kieranmacca9370

Not really, Hot Rods do a transmission bearing kit for most bikes I think.
Which bike year did you happen to read from? I cannot find for the life of me the correct 2001 rm125 manual anywhere online!

www.crservice.dk/Suzuki%20cross/RM125/RM125K7_01A.pdf I used this one, it’s for 02/03 up but all the torque settings are the same. Even the assembly instructions for the engine are almost the same. The power valve is the only big difference.

How did you torque the primary drive gear?
@kieranmacca9370
3 жыл бұрын
You can install the clutch basket and place either an old gear if you have one or a cloth between the clutch basket teeth and primary drive teeth to lock them. Or you can fit the stator on the opposite side if you have a tool for holding it and torque it that way. I usually put a cloth between the clutch basket and primary drive gear.
