Dodge your recent video interview with Marcus, delivered a wave of nostalgia, invoking fond memories of the old days, Marcus, an old school bouncer, is known for his gentlemanly demeanour and professionalism and his don’t mess attitude. Having worked with him on the doors during the late 80's and into the 90's, I can testify to his exceptional character and strong work ethic. Marcus mentioned in your interview that he took up Aikido, and I had the privilege of being the Aikido instructor during that time. Those were truly good times, filled with camaraderie and memorable experiences. Marcus surrounded himself with a group of outstanding Guys, and we were a tight-knit team. Aikido aligned perfectly with Marcus's values and his approach to handling challenging situations on the job. He incorporated the principles of Aikido into his work as a Head Doorman, utilising techniques that prioritised de-escalation and diffusing conflicts without unnecessary force. As I reflect on those years, I can say with confidence that Marcus was an exceptional doorman to work with. I have fond memories of that time, and I genuinely wish Marcus all the best in his future endeavours. His impact on the team and the industry is not easily forgotten. I told myself I would not write war and peace but there is so many good things to say about Marcus, All the best Big Guy

Great interview. Nice to see you Marcus, even though it’s not in person. I remember Ken. I attended a couple of his courses, that you organised for the door staff in Eastbourne Great memories. Regards, Joe.

I loved this podcast, this was like sitting with my dad ( who sadly died last year) listening to his doorman stories. Like Marcus he worked in the 80s,90, but also in the late 70s. I would love for a part two. My dad always said watch out for the older doorman and the nice ones' because they can handle themselves as they have nothing to prove.

Sorry for Your loss! Your Dad was spot on! Hope You are ok now. I know Marcus for many years, and He is the best friend one could have. Imagine how rare it is , to stop trouble en still be kind to the troublemaker! He is besides supersmart, superkind. Ehn tough as nails as well ha ha. He does a lot of charity, helping friends ,the Man is a special one.

This has been popping up as a suggested video for a few days now but I looked at the run time of 1hr30m and thought yeah na! Started watching and how interesting was that, not what I expected at all, really engaging and very easy to sit through.
