I dont agree, this beat is so chill and smooth and lack of jnstrumental, you can rap under the beat, unlike other other beats where you try to syncronize the rhyme to the beat, here you can freestyle. I guess the technique its to rap under the beat and only upon at the ryhme of the verse. Im no expert, but do love the beat too

cmon. Let's be fucking real. NO ONE in 2014 is making tracks as dope as Mass Appeal. fuck outta here! It's so cliche at this point. Some backpacker shows up, says "you gotta dig! the real shit is underground" and lists 20-30 shit/average/mediocre underground rappers most have never heard nor will ever hear. I love MF DOOM, but he hasn't really dropped anything CRAZY since arguably Madvillainy. Though that new Guvnor track was OK. Kweli fell off so long ago. The rest... meh or nah. I'm a HEAD to the core. The underground (which doesn't really exist anymore like it used to -- KZread kinda killed all that) makes some of the worst music ever. Every now and then, you get a Clams Casino. Someone who does real hip hop but innovates past their obvious influences and does something fresh. But for the most part, the underground's full of corny cats doing try-hard 90s throwback records. There are very few things worse than imitation Premo/Pete Rock/RZA joints. Makes the pioneers' work seem cheap lol

Anyone with half a brain realizes that the Golden era of Hip-Hop will never be overshadowed. I agree, It's laughable when clowns list off a bunch of sub-par MCs that wouldn't stand a chance in the early 90's. There won't be another WU or Gang starr, NWA, Rakim, Notorious, Big L ect for several generations. However, I highly doubt we'll ever see that happen again in Hip-Hop.

Definitely also recommend "Hip Hop Fury" by GZA (1999) for a similar track that makes people quiet. You'll love it! And I've been to Amsterdam. Cool city. Nice people. Very trustworthy. I'm American from Los Angeles. I remember this one cab driver I had in Holland back in 1999 put on Kool Mo Dee in his CD player when he realized I was American. Pac, Dre, EZ, Snoop, etc have some great tracks, but doesn't compete with Nas, Guru, Rakim, AZ, Mobb Deep, Big Pun, Big L, Biggie, etc etc - so many legends that were leagues above the rest.
