CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Divinci (James Belushi) confirms his suspicions that Rodriguez (Tupac Shakur) has turned on him and has been recording their conversation.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A pair of corrupt police officers discover the hard way that crime really doesn't pay in this action drama. Divinci (James Belushi) and Rodriguez (Tupac Shakur) are two New York undercover cops with serious money problems: Rodriguez owes a huge gambling debt, while Divinci wants to retire to Hawaii but lacks the cash. To stretch their paychecks, the partners pose as drug dealers, using narcotics confiscated as evidence; they sell the dope, and after receiving payment, they kill the buyers in carefully arranged drive-by shootings, always collecting the drugs afterward so that they can be sold again. The men try to morally justify their actions by claiming that they only kill people who need to be taken off the street anyway. Divinci's girlfriend, an exotic dancer named Cynthia (Lela Rochon), helps set the cops up with their latest victim, but after they've made the transaction, Divinci and Rodriguez discover the tables have been turned -- the purchaser is actually an undercover DEA agent. The DEA man winds up dead, and Divinci and Rodriguez are assigned to investigate the killing. Needing a fall guy, they try to frame a homeless man for the murder, but before long, their web of deception begins to collapse like a house of cards. Gang Related was the final film completed by rapper-turned-actor Tupac Shakur; he himself was the victim of a still-unsolved shooting in Las Vegas 13 months before the film was released.

None of his movies ever flopped. Tupac was definitely an amazing actor who would've gotten an Oscar. James Belushi also. He killed this role. This is his best performance ever. This & "The Principal".

Funny thing. I HATE Jim Belushi.....because he's a corny Cubs fan. But 2 things = 1 He used this line in more then 1 movie and I love the line, even if my life has too much pain right now. and 2 His mother must've been a kind charming lady, my sister and mama met her, while shopping many moons ago.
This was honestly by far 2Pac's best movie as perfect his acting was, he was very outstanding here.
It’s hard to believe that Tupac was only 25 when he made this movie. And two weeks after filming completed he was gone.

Actually, two weeks after the film "Gang Related" was complete and wrapped. He was sadly pronounced dead, from his Vegas 1996 drive by shooting. He did deserve an Oscar for that!

After he was pronounced dead he was taken to the corners office and they sliced him apart for an investigation and was looking for the bullets That was the in his body he was cremated a week later and the killer Orlando Anderson dies in 1998 in a shooting
What a shame PAC died a few months after this!!! Future Grammy and Oscar winner for sure if he lived!!!
Great, under rated movie.
Belushi and Tupac apparently didn't get along very well during filming, mainly because they had different filming styles (Belushi liked to do lots of takes to get the scene right, and Tupac preferred only one or two takes) and they fought alot over how their scenes should be done. I'm guessing they both let out some of that animosity during scenes like this.

Y’all I’m blazed rn but hear my thought what if the creators of this movie knew pac was gonna get killed way before this movie started filming so they used pac for the role cause of that reason but they had to rush everything before he died that’s why they filmed it in just under a month because they knew they had to hurry up so they tried to warn him and show us that he died in this movie while playing dirty cops and the message was dirty cops will kill him ? Maybe I’m too blazed but does anyone find this theory umm idk kindve believable a little bit ? Not only that they had a bmw in the movie just like the one pac got shot in
The moment DaVinci saw Rodriguez stare out of the window, he knew that he ratted. Earlier when DaVinci told Rodriguez to get another gun to kill Cynthia, one can presume that Rodriguez got caught breaking into the evidence room. Rodriguez then had no choice but to inform on his partner. DaVinci had been an undercover cop for so long he knew if someone was genuine or lying. Great scene here between Jim Belushi and Tupac Shakur.

This was a good film but is it me or i saw a movie mistake...belushi takes the recorder off of Tupacs belt at 0:44 then tells him to get out the car then belushi leaves...but when Tupac arrives at home in the "Rodriguez Gets Killed" (10/11) clip, the tape recorder is back on his beltclip before he throws it!
