I watched this on HBO last night and forgot how much I LOVEDDDD it back in the late 90s when I was in high school. Tupac had 3 films that were truly great and this was one of them. Gridlock't and Juice were the others and he was good in Above the Rim too

Gang Related was a great neo-noir (shame the genre, hasn't really been more expanded in the last few years) you should check out the original script that's online (really could have added a lot more storywise) This was the final film Mr. Shakur performed in, it was shot from June-August of 1996.

A decent 90s dirty cop flick, not my favourite 2Pac flick but a decent time waster .

I read somewhere years ago the film was changed up due to 2Pac's death much like with Queen of the Damed and Aaliyah so that could be why 2Pac's performance is stiff.... The man had a massive presence on screen like a James Dean.... It's strange the film came and went and theaters I think it was only released in theaters to draw $ on it being 2Pac's final film..... Not a great film but, enjoyable for what it is but, also sad with the whole 2Pac killing I would love to see it gets a special edition for the director to do a audio commentary or just some interesting extras.... Belushi & Shakur meshed and seem to have chemistry like they were old friends

Great review Matt. I like this movie for the domino effect these crooked cops go through found that entertaining. I think tupac did deserve a better overall final film than this though.

Solid job on the review I do remember seeing this film once back in the day despite the cast the film to me was forgettable Tupac as a actor was there I thought he was good in ''Juice'' and ok at best in ''Poetic Justice'' but this film and his other film he did with Tim Roth really didn't get me I don't mind his songs''California'',''Keep your Head up'',''Dear Mama'',''Changes'' to name a few bro and btw you did a good job with the video its ok to be a little out of it sometimes your only human Matt.
