Nice review Jon! I have this amp and agree that the amp is super detailed, and really love the ample power reserves for great dynamics. It's also incredibly quiet, with absolutely no hiss in the background.

"... seventy odd years" - not quite, since the MOSFET was invented about 63 years ago. Don't know who made the first audio amplifier with MOSFETs, but many of the audio amplifiers of the early 1960s were still using tubes.

Hi Jon, I’m thinking of going the schiit Vidar freya + route that you took with the Magnepan but just wondered if you had a bit more money whether you thought there would be something better for the Vidars. I was also looking at the Q Acoustics Concept 500. I suspect there isn’t much that could beat the Magnepan schiit route for sound. You ended up with the 1.7i I think did you. Are you happy still with this pairing? Thanks Nick
