Hi there! I just had a question regarding the moral teachings of buddhism. Just wanted to get your opinion about it. So if we attribute moral claims to our universe, are we not personalizing the laws of nature and making them more subjective and relative to us as opposed to laws of physics that function in a more mathematical and systematic way? For example karma as a concept cannot be explained with equations or with any kind of measurable method. Of course I dont think that we can explain any phenomenon with hundred percent certainty as to how it fully functions but buddhism's moral teachings are confusing to me from the get go. So it all starts with concepts of ''good'' and ''bad''. the claim entails that there certain actions that are classified as good and also as bad. And that would mean that universe has some sort of moral compass to detect them. And since there is no other law apart from the laws of physics that we can observe and measure, it seems like buddhism's moral laws are pretty similar to a god's moral teachings. They both control and detect our moral and immoral actions, and we are rewarded and punished but its just the universe takes the place of god in buddhism.

Very Good question, it seems that you are as confused as me as to how the world works. So I have the same struggle as well for years trying to learn to be Good, but we are all just Humans. One saying that I find sense is "ethics cannot be defined by time & culture" That said, many things that are taught in certain religion, might make sense back then, but not now, but how do we define right and wrong? So in Buddhism, what I realised is, it doesnt teaches you to be Good, But rather, help you realise on your own what is the best judgement to make with every action or thoughts. As to who is it to Judge what is right or wrong, it seems like the Karma Concept is very complicated. So in Buddhism, Buddha or God does not punish you, rather its kinda the cause and effect, you reap what you sow. But what constitute as Good Karma or Bad Karma, this is something that is open to interpretation. Hence, Buddha taught meditation and the concept of realisation and enlightenment when you finally know the truth. From my current study, Meditation is a powerful way that opens up our mind into understanding more, Ill share more when I eventually learn more in this part. Currently Im learning about the Green Tara & Avalokiteshvara. Apparently, you can ask them to guide you towards realising the truth. The Meditation is also a way to get your mind to understand things that we normally wouldnt understand by reading text. Im not sure if I make enough sense, but feel free to ask more question, maybe we could exchange some thoughts about this topic. Cheers

You mention those God that are prayed in Thailand in the video that you upload, brings properity and wealth, why not just pray to one Holy Being 😂? That makes life even easier. Basically your definition of the praying to Ganesha and the blessings that the followers are getting are so misleading, getting financial gains to tempt novices,to pray is deceptive at best. And the Best part is when I look at the temples you went to offer your prayers -you are mixing Chinese Buddhism and Taoist Rituals with Thai Buddhism.🙄

Yes deception. That's is what Hindu priest do . They build a statue of God for example Ganesh or any other God and then offering are made and people are fooled. Real Buddhism is only meditation not Idol worship
