Must we remove the iPhone case to use it? Does it support USB-C video out?

I have a thin case on my One Plus 11, do I have to take it off to play or does the plug reach in far enough? Thanks.

Does the USB C port on the controller support data transfer or is it power pass through only? Because I'll be streaming my PC with moonlight through LAN if it supports data transfer.

How did you get your games to show Xbox button prompts on screen, as opposed to the PS glyphs? Every game I play shows PS glyphs in game. I’d love it if it showed Xbox prompts because that’s what’s on the controller. Any thoughts?

Well, if you play games on your Playstation via remote play it shows the ps buttons... you can see them here as well when he plays spiderman for example. The games where you see a, b, x, y are streamed from Xbox or games directly for iOS

How do you connect the device? got mine yesterday, the iOS gamesire app cant detect the peripherals

I have used gamesir g8 with iPad mini 6 and work really fine!!, it Is better than ps portal!!!!

Any tips on preventing the 15 pro max for heating up while gaming with this controller? I just got my G8 controller yesterday and it’s great but it really does heat up my phone to where the screen dims down a lot. 😤😩

i wish the right d pad and joystick are interchangeable to mimic ps set up. thereis a dobe controller that i owned before that interchange position.

How did you use the controller for Remote Play without the controls showing on the screen? I thought the buttons only disappeared with Bluetooth controllers.

Doubt it. Bluetooth version Is coming out next year I believe.

Yes, that depends on the app you use but the touch pad is just touch screen

You have to touch the screen for the touch pad. Got to be honest it sucks doing it this way. It would be awesome if eventually they will allow us to map the touch screen to one of the back buttons. But, for now....no

G8 is very good controller my only complaint is it doesn't have Bluetooth mode for wireless use with legion go or mini pc or console because i like the hall effect analog sticks

Hope they rise right “palm” stick 1cm higher so it can become right “thumb” stick

isnt this controller supposed to be cheaper than the backbone literally the entire reason i was interested in this was because i heard it was a cheaper backbone alternative im not spending 120 euros on a phone controller for that money id rather buy a new mechanical keyboard or a really nice real controller

not really, the iOS Gamesir App doesnt really catch up for Iphone user, got mine yesterday cant connect device, good thing i have an android too otherwise id be pissed

The D Pad is not the best if you want yo play retro games. Everything else is beastly!! If you want a better d pad for retro games, get the gamesir x2 pro, type c

I think it is terrible when I remote play PS5 Horizon Forbidden West and Demon Soul on PS remote play with G8.

every time i connect to ps remote play on this it is so laggy! and i have great wifi . it’s so annoying

You need a iphone 15 because of the port. It's only USB C

Surely the buttons top right is annoying

I don't get why these companies still keep the connection on the right side. It ruins the use for folding phones on these devices.

ive seen people game on folding phones and it looks weird! not sure why people think that square look is better! maybe for ds emulation id understand but for standard games it looks stretched out badly to me!! but to each to their own I guess.

@@matthewburno when streaming from lets say the PS you get almost twice the screen size in the normal tv format, that you would on a normal phone screen. It doesn't get stretched at all

Because not all have a folding phone. And they will sell more if they put in on the right side. Simple logic.

the thing about the portal its not that portable it relies on an always on internet connection on both ends so if your hotel or home cuts off it will stop working! and its a one trick pony so that means you will need to spend even more money for a backup portable! yeah it has haptics and triggers but honestly id give that up for better battery life! and flexibility in usage!! I see the portal for someone with a family that is selfish! I much rather buy a telescoping controller or a pocket pc that can remote play if I really have to play ps games but what's more important I can play local games no internet and I can actually play anywhere! bus stop translation etc without needing hotspot witch not every phone plan gives you much!! I think Sony made the portal to trick people into thinking its the best when its not at all watch wufden review on it since he explains it mostly how it is in reality! its a nice hardware yeah but they limited it to being a one trick pony instead of something that is useful! I rather get a switch lite or a used android gamepad like a g cloud or razor edge!

Ok,I have this gamepad and it's great, for all kind of gaming, but for PS players ps portal is much better, first this controller is Xbox buttons layout not PS!, second feedback on Ps portal it's like dual sense controller and Gamesir don't give you this when you Remote play PS5,third size of the screen!I have Ps portal and Gamesir G8 Galileo (with Xperia 1V)and they are really different in Remote play. Gamesir G8 Galileo is fantastic,I'm using for Android and Emulators games,100% recommended!

If it doesn't work with a phone case on, it's a no-go for me.

I preordered the Portal and sold it for $150 extra. And someone actually bought it the same day…. I got my 199 dollars back plus 150… so at least it was useful for something. Cuz that thing is ridiculous.

I’m liking everything about the controller so far except the huge dead zone which is kinda of ruining the experience. It’s not worse than the backbone but since everyknthing else is so much better it becomes more noticeable. And there is no way to calibrate the dead zone, at least not on iPhone

Meanwhile western dad's: I love that Sony crap no matter how shitty it is....oh I can't able to live without ps5 games....thank god my dad is not dick head

As a backbone owner the backbone doesn’t compare to the portal it’s missing haptics and adaptive triggers and the 1080 p and the 8 inch screen of the portal can’t be beat 😊
