Right now I'm playing Pocky & Rocky Reshrined and Final Vendetta. From this last one I must say that although I liked it, I have missed elements such as an impressive continue screen (like the one in Final Fight, Wild Fang/Tecmo Knight or Ninja Gaiden) but we already know that Bitmap Bureau does not believe in the Continue option (at least not from the beginning, since due to complaints about the difficulty they have released a patch to fix it).

Currently finishing up Ys IX . I was finally able to get my hands on a ps5 so I just moved the saved data over. I'm still not sure what my first ps5 game will be...

I just passed ff7r and I'm about to pass Ghost of Tsushima... I'm 100 percenting, I'm at the part with Yuriko... GOT isnsuch a great game!! Thanx for getting me into it!!! Anyways, love ya happy console family!

I just completed Earthbound Beginnings for the first time. Loved it!!! TMNT Shredder's Revenge is amazing! My brother and I played through it multiple times, and we haven't played a game like that since we were kids. Now I'm replaying Shantae Risky's Revenge while I wait for Live A Live, and Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium.

I started up a game on steam called Ender Lilies - I only got to play for about 30 minutes last night and I'm already hooked!

Don't ever underestimate the magic that the happy console gamer show brings to people's heart. I've been through some really thick and dark times and these 15 minute videos of pure nostalgia led me to the light. I'm doing great now and without going into detail this show has been a saving grace for me. #Gamer4Life

Really enjoy the fact that you two are still together and enjoying the nostalgia, I recently reunited with my old childhood friends and we had a great time remembering videogame stuff.

TMNT Shedder's Revenge was absolutely incredible, it was the perfect old school throwback to TMNT Turtles In Time :)

My buddy was always Ken and I was Ryu. I'd always mop the floor with him. Good times.

I'd love to play Aliens vs. Predator again. I hope that eventually gets ported to the consoles.

Playing Scott Pilgrim vs the world. Fell in love with beat em ups since Double Dragon 2. Really a good time to be alive for the beat em up genre!

Ok, Zenny actually is sourced from the term Zeni from the Edo era as a designation for common coins. What do most arcade machines use? Common coins. So its a full nod to say that Zenny is pocket change. So one Zenny would be the same as a penny.

Almost like Rob, i played Black Tiger when i was on holidays back in 88. The game was something else and the whole medieval setting was unseen at that time in action games. The year after we got Strider and that started my true love for Capcom.

I fell in love with Capcom from Mega Man games, but Strider.... THAT game stole my soul. Short game, but I love the premise. Strider 2014 is just almost perfect. I really wish the developers would do a sequel, but it sounds like Capcom sees the figures and "No Go" on the sequel. Sigh.. SIGH.... AGH!

Waiting for the physical copy of shredders revenge. I’m hoping that is the game that gets my kids into beatum ups.

@@Fast_Travel_Gamer - I did indeed but it’s a lot more money for really nothing. The $200 set looked interesting but I’ll be damned if I am gonna pay that much money unless I leave it sealed to sell later on and then I’d have to buy the digital version in order to play it. Lol

We have Robman daily on Twitch and our weekend dose of HCG, these are exciting times were living in people!

Can't wait to watch later! At the park with my girlfriend playing switch and couldn't help but think of Johnny, glad to see Rob is back too!

Still the best gaming channel on KZread. Any time you 2 get together it's special.

Every episode with Rob Man is special and a treat :) and you tottaly reminded of the fact that sometimes you would only get to play arcade games for a short period of time and once it was replaced with another game you never got to play it again.

Funny that you guys were talking about beat-em ups this episode. Just last night, I received and put together my Street Fighter 2 arcade 1up. I love that beat-em ups are making a comeback. I hope to see more next year. Great video as always.

Magic Sword was the one game I played in an arcade once and never again! I didn't even know I knew the game until your other video on it, Johnny! I completely lost that game to the sands of time! So glad to know it's a real memory again!!

You're confusing Final Vendetta with the Takedown, which is the game McMuscles team worked on.

I just finished Ys book 1 and 2 because you talk about it so much. Yes, It was great and the soundtrack is now my favorite video game soundtrack. I am currently playing LA Rush for the PS2 and Gauntlet seven sorrows for the PS2 and having a lot of fun with those.

Played through the new TMNT game with a friend and it was an absolute blast. First time actually finishing a Beat 'Em Up. Always enjoy these discussion videos between you both.

Johnny and Rob HAVE to play “Mother Russia Bleeds”. Best beat-em-up I’ve played in a decade (obviously besides tmnt shredders revenge, but that did just drop).

It really does feel like all these old school beatemup games was made for me im 49 used to play most of those capcom games back in the day at yonge and dundas arcade in Toronto collecting comics at silver snail on queen street back in the day every saturday used to be my freinds and myself we would wake up at 8 in the morning and take the subway downtown. That was great times wouldnt trade those days for anything and theses games bring me back to those great years but these games are even better then ever playing on my series s and switch lite on the go cant beat it , i love it you guys did a great video here awesome stuff guys 👍

Shredders revenge was my first turtles game since the arcade games were way before my time and I loved it I got every trophy and can’t wait to play the cowabunga collection and play all those iconic games for the first time

Have to checkout Final Vendetta and TMNT. Last great beat 'em up was Street of Rage 4, so ready for another hype train. Have been playing a lot of Fallout 4 lately in Survival mode. About 200 hours in the game and haven't reached Daimond City yet. It's brutal, but I would'nt have it any other way! ^_^ One of my favorite past time is to watch RobMan's twitch channel. Like in here watching HCG episode, I get the same 'homely' feeling watching Rob's playing on twitch and interacting with the awesome community. Thank you Johnny & Rob. You guys are treasures.

I love you guys. Have a great day! I have been playing Xuan Yuan Sword 7 on PS5. It's a pretty good ARPG based in Chinese Mythology and has some cool mechanics to it. I've also been playing through the No More Heroes series on Switch. I'm about half way through the first title and am absolutely loving it! It makes me angry I didn't get into the series a long time ago! I'm about to start Shredder's Revenge on Xbox as well! What a time to be a gamer! Keep on keepin' on, Johnny and RobMan!

I've been playing Dragon's Dogma! It is my first time going through the game, I'm enjoying it so far.

Casey’s move set is pretty cool too, he uses all kinds of sports equipment as a weapon I love it.

I played TMNT thanks to you... and a dear friend of mine who bought me the game. Had a 6 way playtrough once, and it was a blast. Completed it twice actually.

Love the old Capcom games. Great to see both of you both talking about the games together like this. Great atmosphere. I have been playing some Switch again. Pocky & Rocky Reshrined, Snipperclips Plus, Celeste, Tiny Barbarian DX, No More Heroes and every game on the Capcom Fighting Collection. I had never played Red Earth but absolutely loved it since it was very unique as far as enemies and movesets. I recently started Undertale though which I know nothing about except it was popular. Looking forward to getting further into it though.

Rob and Johnny always help me simmer down even in the midst of all the chaos we’re in.

I remember discovering Black Tiger at the local mom & pop video store. They had a Double Dragon cab and a new game I've never seen before. Needless to say, I fell in love with the game and will probably buy the 2nd Stadium so I can revisit it. I also recommend you try Dr. Pepper & Cream Soda if you like those types of drinks. It's my new favorite soda.

Love seeing the resurgence of these games. Gotta give a quick recommendation for Hi Score Girl on Netflix. It's an anime that's all about 90's gaming/arcade culture. Features tons of real games from the time. So good and so nostalgic.

Had to revisit a snes classic on the Switch with Zombie Ate My Neighbours. Some more old skool fun. GG!

My “Black Tiger” moment was Monster Land (Wonder Boy 2). I relate to that feeling. It’s crazy what little progression system does to otherwise pretty ordinary games.

Loved Black Tiger at a local pizza joint back in the day! Played it about a year ago on my PSP (Capcom Classics Collection) and got quite far until my thumb rotator quit on me 🤫 Zenny also found in Forgotton Realms!

Beat ‘em ups are such an underrated genre, it’s not just button mashing, there’s tons of tactics and strategy if you really challenge yourself and try to clear entire games on 1 credit, especially the classic ones or a game like final vendetta. anyone can just mash and spam continues on lower difficulties but the genre can be so much deeper and rewarding if you want it to be.. similar to shmups..

The sprite work in Final Vendetta reminds me of the style used in games like KOF '98 and Garou Mark of the Wolves. I'll have to look into that one! Also, not sure if you're aware but being into my music I was thrilled to find out that the vocals on the theme music for Shredder's Revenge is none other than Mike Patton!

Klonoa collection is my current favourite, these games are even better than I remember. Picked up the ps4 physical edition.

I had a blast with the new TMNT as well. Also, while we're talking about Capcom collections, it's a shame we never got a Final Fight sequel on CPS2 and another on CP3. Those would have been so great!

I agree. Something told me in the back of my head... when SF3 came out... "Where's the Final Fight for these more powerful arcades?" 🤔 consoles, too... and no the "remake" doesn't count. "A competitive 3-D fighting game spinoff, Final Fight Revenge, was released for Sega's Titan arcade hardware in 1999, which was followed by a home version for the Sega Saturn in Japan only. A 3D sequel titled Final Fight: Streetwise was released in 2006 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. And the final installment called Final Fight: Double Impact, released in 2010."

Maybe we can get a Johnny Cameo over on the RobMan stream sometime!? Some good old school coop!
