this movie is a masterpiece of all the Showa gamera films because it doesn’t have annoying kids in it

What I've always wanted to know is how do the Japanese monster movies come up with such good SOUND EFFECTS for the monsters. Like how do they make Gamera's familiar sound. The same with Godzilla and Ghidrah. Where do the sounds from Ghidorah come from. Compared to American monster movies of the time, the Japanese led the way.

cant remember exactly but Godzilla's roar was done with a musical instrument, think it was a chello or a stand up bass, then they tweaked it a bit

Godzilla's "roar" was a leather glove pulled across cello string and pretty sure Gamera's "roar" was a mixture of animal and instrument sounds. I think an elephant and a trumpet? Pretty sure Ghidorah's sound came from an electric organ. Happy New Year!

WAR OF THE MONSTERS took up where GAMMERA THE INVINCIBLE left off, with the huge space capsule containing the tremendous terrapin getting slammed by a passing meteor and freeing the colossal creature of fire. The airborne turtle returned in RETURN OF THE GIANT MONSTERS, ATTACK OF THE MONSTERS, DESTROY ALL PLANETS, GAMERA VS. MONSTER X, and GAMERA VS. ZIGRA. Almost ten years later, Gamera returned in GAMERA: SUPER MONSTER (1980) and has been back ever since. I’m still waiting for GAMERA VS. GODZILLA.

I would like to see Gamera vs Godzilla too, however, Gamera was owned by Daiei originally but, was bought by Kadokawa which asked Toho who owns Godzilla, if they wanted to have the 2 in a movie together but, Toho declined the offer. Who knows anything is possible, and hopefully we will get to see that movie one day. There's a fan edited 1972, 9:20-minute movie on KZread, called: Godzilla vs Gamera-The Great Battle, which is pretty impressive.
