Great collection! I love collecting for the Gamecube, and just love the system itself. I think part of the reason is that it reminds me of the Dreamcast in some small way, be it from the games, the intro, or just the console's overall design. They both seem to have a lot more character than some of the other consoles.

Hi.. With the price bubble the gamecube is going through now.. You may be really excited. I have my cube since 2005.. A few bad games. Thru time I've now been able to stock almost 100... I'm super excited.. No shiiiits.. Pure cream!!

Great collection and video. My 2 first games on GameCube are Super Smash Bros Melee and WWE WrestleMania X8. I got the Platinum Edition Super Smash Bros Melee bundle. My first console I bought with my own $. One of my 2 favorite consoles.

I've had Rumble Arena 2 sitting on my shelf for years and didn't know it was worth as much as it was. It still has the original papers inside (it came w/ a postcard thing to bandai for some kind of offer) but my childhood dog knawed a bit of the box's corner. Really cool to know tho, I'll definitely be holding onto it!

Very impressive collection and kudos for going for the black label variants. I just started collecting myself and finding out the hard way that some of the heavy hitters for this system are very pricey.

GL1TCHGURU yep, the heavy hitters are getting up there. Still a cheaper system to collect for than some older gen, but it is all about timing. Best of luck!

Thanks! It took a lot of hunting and researching to get a grasp of this system's library. It also took a conscious effort to say, okay forget about other systems I'm going to solely focus collecting for the cube. I still have a ways to go...

Thanks man. I got the disk working. Played it a bit, it's not very intuitive what to do or how to play. Seems like they were trying something different than a typical snowboarding game.

i was waiting for you to get to phantasy star plus version to see if you had both lol OF COURSE YOU DO haha i just got both in one buy for 70 which obvi you know is still an amazing deal, and its honestly my top 5 fav games for the system so awesome to be able to get both n play the plus with the extra stuff in it , so many awesome games, im playing custome robo now, sooooo good very under rated

It jumped up really high in price a few years back and then came back down. It's a very good game and a GC exclusive so... it makes sense to me. Really there is not game that feels like it.

Hey man I love your collection I have just started mine and it's been pretty good so far. I regards to the HD component cables, if you have a Wii with its HD component cables, wouldn't that be the same thing?

What about the need for speed games 😲? You don’t have any???

I've been gaming since Atari 1977 and still own my childhood consoles in there boxes especially Nintendo consoles and games from 1985-2020 are any of your consoles and games from your collection are from your childhood

Yes. :) I do not collect N64 or SNES, so all the games I have for those systems are my childhood titles. NES, GameCube and Wii U are systems they I actively collected for. Pikmin, Wave Race and Smash Bros were my first 3 games that I bought with the system. Lots of nostalgia there.

I have a few different versions of some GameCube games, the Pixar Cars game came in that Hollywood Video case like you have with that Naruto game and I have a StarFox Adventures K Mart Variant.

Man, I wish I had a Gamecube! Saw one at Swap Shop, if I had the money I would get Sonic Heroes and Tony Hawk Underground or I could buy the Xbox version of those games. Sega Soccer Slam was fun on Xbox the games is made by Black Box who made Skate 3 and NHL Hitz and Virtual Concepts who made 2K NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA and now WWE games!

Super ahmed about 60% of worldwide, 71% for North America only. The funny thing it the GC library is much much smaller than the PS2 and a bit smaller than the original XBOX library sizes.

Japanese Gamecube games are also super collectable. I need about 5 of the Japanese exclusives.

the GameCube games I want to get are Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros Melee, Pikmin, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, and Mario Kart Double Dash

I noticed Disney Basketball was about 50 bucks for a while then yesterday saw it around 200-300US. That's insane.

Torgo Gorgo I got mine for 40 online, then the day after saw a copy locally so I bought that one for the same price, this was not long ago. On vgchartz.com it is the VC title with the lowest print run. Not sure if that is true, but it is a tough find these days complete.

Very impressive collection! I wish I had the space for all the games I'd like to obtain. Baby steps I guess...

Good luck! I love the Gamecube so I collect the games for it. Don't stress too much over rare titles and such. You'll never know what you'll come across in thrift stores and yard sales! :)

I got viewtiful joe 2 at my local retro shop it was in their rare case really good game and difficult on adult mode don’t understand why people hate on it. Also found 1080 avalanche sealed!

Tommy Hasson I was not thinking about going for the pal exclusives....I do want to try conan and asterix and obelix and I heard franklin is a really hard find.

Beautiful collection, I just stated to collect. I have the red tin RE4 and Gotcha Force as some of my tatie rarest titles. Is it true that Gotcha Force is the most valuable game for the system?

It is not the most expensive, but it is in the top top. I think there will be a flux of some of the more hidden titles jumping up in the future. But Gotcha Force will always be desirable. It is a great game from Capcom with a low print run. (Was release same time as GTA3. That is one of the reasons it went under the radar).

Thanks. I am missing both mortal kombat games. I think they are both good but I have a lot of nostalgia for MK1 on the SNES. I remember going to see the Mortal Kombat movie in theatres for s birthday. I just never found the games for a good price. Ciao

Bummer Billy Hatcher is going up it's a great game and one that deserves to be played with better controls than the wiiu game pad. Hopefully sega will rerelease it on other platforms at least the switch if nothing else.

Alan YaKnow I agree. I think it is a good game but the camera and controls, if tweaked, would make a huge difference.

Where did you get the big hard case in which you put Cubivore ? Ive been looking for them for a while on Ebay but the only ones I find are the thin plastic sleeve.

The only reason I started was the app I have on my phone has them listed . So I went on Stone Age gamer and got a custom made HD game cube with a pal switch . If you really enjoy GameCube as much as I do it's worth the investment .

NES Chest cocoto and castleween are a couple .. I believe there is a MARIO football game as well I'm looking for . It's hard to find these in the wild so I'm picking them up online when I find them at a good price .

I havent seen a lot of those. Much harder to get complete NTSC set than a PAL one

Michael O'Donoghue I assume the print run for slot of PAL games is fairly low though. Gadget racers an Franklin come to mind. Also different language versions would make it interesting.

The NTSC/US box art was loads better than the pal versions :(

Nowadays, even getting a game like Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is worth 40$ cib, it's crazy.

Hey not sure if ud know this, I collect also and have always been curious about Sum of all Fears. I noticed you dont have it but maybe ull still know. Ive seen 2 different cover arts for it, 1 with the tom clancy stamp on the side like splinte cells and recons. The other has the movie poster as the cover. Are these the same game?

Hmmm.. The Sum of All Fears is sitting on the shelf at two game stores I regularly go to. Not a common game, but also not too popular. I've only ever seen the Tom Clancy style cover art..The one with Morgan Freeman and Afleck on the front looks like it's a PAL version. I'll do some research... but pretty sure in NA there is only one cover variant.

I'm in Canada. Yes, collecting in the US is a bit easier cost wise. In my area there are about 5 retro stores and 2 pawnshops which are reasonable. If I travel to a new city I'll check out the games stores there too. You can get lucky on ebay and amazon sometimes too, but finding a good shipping fee means you have to be patient.

How's your collection now? This is really cool..

I got it in a bundle with 7 other games off of Craig's list. It took me a while to find. I've never seen a copy in a used game store. The owner in my area only had it once and the game was disk only. In the end, it came out to about market price at the time (2016). For those top tier titles I don't expect to get lucky enough to find them for a steal.

Bilbo Weer I have done a tiny bit of research on the topic. My understanding is that disc rot is really caused by a manufacturing defect where oxygen has access to the disc due to separation from the protective film. So I do not believe in the short term my discs will be affected. Maybe a few are susceptible to this corrosion..Games are only worth something if others are willing to buy them. Only time can say if GC will be collectable or of interest to anyone a few decades from now. I collect because I find it a challenge and i am genuinely interested in the games. If they do not last the test of time, I am not too concerned.

A few thousand. Every week I worked 2-3 extra hours and used that money for collecting. For example, $80 bucks loose a week x say 30 weeks in a year gives about $2400 to spend. Multiply that by 3-6 years....that's how you fund a collection in a healthy way and still feed a family. No money in my extra fund = no games.

But I don't make an allowance and I LOVE GAMECUBE GAMES and we are also pretty poor so I can only Buy 1 a year if its under $20 )= but now my dad makes $11 dollars an hour so MABEY more
