As a synchronized swimmer who has completed 5 solos over the years I am both offended by being called a wacky event and absolutely agree it is a wacky yet amazing event!

Otherwise known as yes, MatPat actually was biased because he focused entirely on events that require no athletic ability. Otherwise known as he focused on events that aren't even real Olympic games.

I personally feel as they didn't take account of sonic being faster or physically better than Mario by a landside like in tennis how in the hell is Mario beating sonic in tennis Mario wouldn't be able to get the ball past him plus with football as long as sonic know to take the ball to the other side Mario is not stopping him or experience ( or more games) doesn't give someone the win

Considering what you said about bribes, I'm kinda surprised that wasn't a factor in Mario winning the architecture round. After all, while it's true they both have princesses on their sides if we include the comics, only Mario's princess lives in a castle for the duration of the franchise. Yeah, willing to bet Peach has larger coffers to throw at the judges for her hero than Sally does

Yeah true but that was with using super speed to gain that fast momentum. In the olympics I think theyd disqualify you for using super speed

There is no way Sonic would lose to Mario. There has to be more scrapped Olympic events.

Wait a minute, Mario definitely should’ve gotten the horse metal because (even though they’re technically different) Mario in several games has ridden on yoshi, and jumping is something yoshi can definitely do, even if it is into a pit

i would just like to point out that sonic is naturally talented at anything he tries to do or learn, (i dont count sonic boom "sonic" cus they made everyone dumber in that) he can also analyze a situation and figure out the solution pretty quick cus his speed also gives him quick thinking. He's no genius but hes got brains. so for most of these events i feel like he would grasp the concept pretty quick cus even if hes never heard of them he'd still adapt really quick. take in the fact that in "Sonic and the Black Knight" sonic has (im pretty sure) never held a sword until then, and if you know what your doing then the first 2 tutorial missions are only about 6 mins in total between the two. In the second one sonic literally slays a dragon in the first 6 minutes he holds a sword. and the only thing he practiced on prior was some wooden targets.

Look back into the fishing one. “Sonic frontiers” is the best place to start.

Funny thing, Sonic is shown in "The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" to be unbelievably bad with aiming guns. Like, comically horrible.

Where as Sonic The Comic Sonic shot a flying Eggrobo while Sonic was falling from the Death Egg II. Where as AOSTH Sonic couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with a gun while standing beside the barn.

What about Mario riding Yoshi??? Not a horse, but he still be ridin'...

@@Rocket.gutsss with like architecture, yeah ofc but for stuff like the fire fighting thing, sonic can either spin around and put it out, cuz of how can change wind speeds or run back and forth using his speed to put it out, and with the sports ones i guess it matters in what position, cuz if ur going to tell me that mario beats sonic in this as sonic has the ability to zip around the area i highly doubt it, i’m not saying mario is bad at these but when you having a living blur on the field what can u do

not to mention, Mario has experience dodging Charging Chucks since Super Mario World on the SNES. Dodging other football players is part of that sport. So that can be counted towards Mario's football experience.

You say at the end that you didn't cherry pick events for Mario to win, but you kind of did exactly that. You looked back for weird past events because Sonic would win in most of the current events and you didn't want to give Sonic the easy win. Also, I disagree with your assessment that experience would result in Mario winning any sports like tennis or soccer. Sonic's pure athletic abilities would easily outshine Mario's experience.

At least, we can agree on one thing. SEGA are more daring when it comes to their titles. They always seem to be willing to do things that are risky. Think Sonic Boom and Sonic '06. I think that's why Sonic is more memorable. Sonic's games are more about trying a new idea while Mario seems to just do what they know will work. In the end, that's why I kinda like Sonic more than Mario. His games are more outlandish and thus more memorable.

I have a theory for the Minecraft warden: What if the builders made the endportel out of skulk and put an iron golem there to protect it? After many years the irone golem was infected by the skulk and transformed to the warden. Because the skulk grew over the eyes the iron golem wasn't able to see and had to trust wat the skulk detected. So, the skulk basically got control over the golem and because skulk came out of the dark and didn't like the light of the portal it moved away and further down in the caves. The souls we see could either be the iron golem, maybe the skulk itself or what I actually think some pieces of the endportel which than would also explain why some eyes are missing.

Here is a funny follow up suggestion. If you take in the usual Mario Party crew and had them all compete using the events from the Sonic and Mario Olympic videos you have done.. Which member of the Mushroom Kingdom would be the statistically best athlete?
