watched this video after Matpat announced that he was going to step back, I’m gonna miss him man, he is the face of game theory. I thought this KFC console was a joke but wow it’s actually real and quite innovative. Using the excess heat generated from the hardware to heat up your chicken during a gaming session, which is pretty nice. Truly gives winner winner chicken dinner a stronger meaning.

I love how KFConsole technically means "Kentucky Fried Console"

i think the area where you put food is a plastic container with no holes / vents. so you can just take it out and put it back in whenever and oil shouldn't get around components.

Great theory! I only have one problem: I’m assuming that the console isn’t constantly running at full capacity, which means that it probably doesn’t have a stable heat to warm up your food. In the end you’re going to either end up with luke warm 8 bit pringles or flamin hot Cyberpunk cheetos.

Normal pc on idle is almost 50 degrees already i’m sure that the cooling solution on the kfconsole wouldn’t be as good as in a mid tower pc so idle temps should be around 60 degrees which is enough for warming fried chickens

If the point is to heat up the chicken chamber, why would they ever idle the GPU or processor? You give the chicken chamber a separate on/off switch and it keeps the system running at max capacity.

acctually thats a good idea!

if the console is using the chicken as a heat sink, that means that without it the console will overheat and not work. Without the chicken, you cannot use the console. The KFC console is literally chicken powered.

Easy-Bake oven was my childhood lol

A few problems: 1. If the heat from the pc component is transfered with fans, it will probably have dust and other unwanted metal/plastic particle from the component 2. Again, with the fan, there is a high chance the now chicken-smelling air will leak back to the inner pc compartment causing it to smell like chicken and possibly introducing other unwanted things like oil... 3. Even with 650w power supply, with high efficiency rating, less energy is wasted as heat 4. The PC only heats up a lot when you're playing a demanding game, so when you're not playing AAA game with the setting cranked up, it's useless?
