Leon Coben Yeah but he did the same thing with Murdered Soul Suspect. He sinned Rex, a cop, for punching Baxter, another cop, and not getting in trouble for assaulting a police officer. But literally right before that he didn't sin Baxter for tampering with evidence, picking and wearing Ronin's hat, Ronin being the guy full of bullet holes right in front of him.

No, when you exit the mental asylum and you shoot the group of people by the trunk of the car where Anya is, the Nazi loses balance when he gets shot (like most Nazi's in the game) and falls inside the trunk. k cool

pepper Mill Well, yeah, but he's just a scientist. They're acting like he's the leader of the Third Riech or something. As said in video, te Resistance is a drop in the ocean compared to the entire of the Nazis, as such, I don't think the whole regime is going to come crashing down just because their head scientist is dead.

A lot of sins about B.J should be returned. It is the whole character trait of B.J to be a huge guy and really heavy. It even makes multiple jokes about it in the game. The thing with the blonde dude inject enough drugs for an elephant was probably the best one.

12:10 *"Überwachungskamera"* is literally translated to *"observation camera"* which is synonym to _"security camera"_ as we all know (latter would be _"Sicherheitskamera"_ in German, but nearly no one in Germany or Austria uses that word; most people here say "Überwachungskamera" or simply "Kamera"). This game has some really great German voice acting! For the rest of the game I don't know, I haven't played it...

VisualGourmet i can confirm that. from what i saw in this video, they actually hired some german voice actors. not some american voice actors with some long lost german roots, who are given some lines. the german lines in this game sound pretty accurate.

Why is it bad that BJ spelled out "Da'at Yichud" using words? It's legit radio protocol to use phonetics so that you don't mistake certain letters for others, like "b" and "g" could be mixed up.

Colin Velius This^ There is a reason why NATO phonetics are used. Standard Military Protocol. A is called Alpha, F - Foxtrot, I - India, Q - Quebec (are some examples for others), this makes them sound distinct. Avoids Confusion when in the battlefield yelling commands on the Walkie

I am amazed the fact that the small plot whole of how the Nazis found the Resistance's secret base wasn't on there. Especially since of all the times I've play through the game, I have never seen that explained.

There was a part when you fall into the sewers directly under the base and the Nazi combat drones find you and try to kill you. This is way before the base was found however, so I'm not sure if the events are connected, but that's how I saw it.

"The Allies didn't discover the concentration camps until the end of the war" - Wrong. The Allies had pretty accurate intel about the extermination camps from the Polish resistance. Most of them didn't believe that the scale given was right, though. And the foot soldiers.

Not to mention the fact that this game is set in 1946, long after the Allies had found out about the camps and after the war ended in real life. Obviously something diverged in the timeline, but the fact that Deathshead's compound is in Germany suggests that the war wasn't going great for the Germans up until deploying his wonder weapons

I enjoyed this game a lot, and it has its flaws, just like some of these proposed "sins" in the video. People seem to forget that these kinds of videos are not a serious criticization of the product, but more for entertainment, because it's all in good fun. I still found a lot of things they brought up pretty funny now that it helped me notice it.

By the way "Überwachungskamera" is the correct translation for "Security Camera" (12:06) :P

16:08 Actually the Allies High Command knew about the death camps, they just didn't disseminate the information. I actually like how they handled the romance subplot. They never discuss it, but it is in the context of the dialog that it isn't some "love in first sight" bullshit. They are just two people that are attracted to each other, get into a physical relationship and latter develop that relationship into something more after getting to know each other better. As for why they just jumped their bones....well in war birthrates actually rise, its just how we are hot wired.

Saying words instead of letters is actually a common practice while spelling something over the phone/radio. It helps prevent misspellings of letters that have a similar pronunciation that might be hard to hear over the low quality connection. "D" and "T" or "B" and "P" for example. I sometimes do that when telling someone how to spell my last name over the phone. And I think you should've retracted a sin for the fact that people speak with their native accents and in their native language, seeing as you counted the opposite of that as a sin in other games (Ryse, AC:U).

Sin 103: Set Roth is only alive because he's useful to the Nazis as an engineer. He did, after all, invent the special Nazi concrete because they forced him to do so. And he's most likely the chief Da'at Yichud technological specialist who they forced to make all the war machines. Sin 110: LOL, I think you can take this away once you've played the Old Blood. BJ actually drives a similar robot in the Old Blood, so he has enough experience with driving the one in the New Order. Sin 137: IDK, but I thought it was pretty effective to make BJ wipe out the Nazis around the bridge, so that they wouldn't shoot down the copter in the middle of the chaos. In fact, that one last super soldier would've totally been a threat to the whole "fly straight to the train" plan.

This game was fun and this video was great, as usual. Keep em coming, man!

If I may insert a theory as to how B.J. is able to survive so many things, is it possible that the previous occult encounters had some kind of unnoticed side-effect upon him, like making him stronger and more resilient than the average man?

There were 3 sins I didn't like but this was a tremendous video. However, I'm surprised that you didn't find fault with: 1: BJ not letting go of Deathshead when he pulled the grenade. 2: Deathshead being destroyed by the grenade yet BJ was still in tact, despite being in point-blank range.

I wondered if the nazis stole their tech from the Da’at Yichud (I think I spelled that right...) why did they need Deathshead? Then I remembered the Da’at Yichud wanted to get closer to God while Deathshead seemed to want to play God and one of the reasons he’s probably so important is because they needed a face to credit to all their stolen tech to.

Just want to say that this game is a lot of fun (Gameplay wise), in my opinion. But, if you try to follow this game with any rhyme or reason and put logic in it, well... The video sums it up pretty well.

Something I found interesting was when you’re actually at the Compound, if you look up, there’s only a dozen planes flying around. Which means either that’s an oversight or very few planes actually reached the Compound

I don't think singing opens the Safe-Keep doors, it just the instructions on opening the door in Song form so he will always remember it.

Good channel, earned a sub my friend. Never played this game, but I definitely want to now. An alternate Nazi world is scary but interesting at the same time.

BJ is almost impossible to kill, because he´s protected by "american patriotism" and only weapon capable of killing him is obsolete german M 39 grenade detonated near his face to rip his guts of and only during cutscene again. 100% PURE LOGIC !!!

Not gonna lie, easily one of my favourite games. And yes, I remember RTCW and Wolf 2009. A game with some of the most ridiculous (and fun) combat and settings, and yet it still doesn't dilute the genuine horror of the Nazi regime, and it's a shooter with a fleshed out protagonist. It's quite something. FYI - BJ also speaks with an accent to everyone who's not American, like me! Also lots of deep sea corals out there.

Corey Martin you're right, the "Wolfenstein" (2009), is the previus game, but Deathshead is the main villain of RTCW. Thanks for helping me to remember.

CARLOSTEIN well...with all due respect (seriously, just not wanting to sound like a dick, I f-ing LIVED RtCW when in came out [I was 15y/o, 31 now. I was a bit of a late bloomer.]), the MAIN villain in Return to Castle Wolfenstein was Heinrich 1, the resurrected Germanic king. The other bosses included the weird poop monster Olaric (that killed Helga von Bulow) and the Übersoldat (super soldier). The fight with the super soldier was overseen by Deathshead, as he made cocky remarks, followed by surprised and irritated comments when you kill it as he runs away to his "Kobra" rocket plane. Aaannnyyyways (I was getting sidetracked), if I'm not mistaken, the narrator in this video was referring to Caroline Becker when he made the comment about the "Wolfenstein that nobody remembers," which IS where she made her first appearance. I could be wrong about his quote (I'm not watching this half hour s**t talk about my favorite game series again), but I am sure that's where she came from. You never fight Deathshead in that game, either. The final battle is against his henchman Hans Grosse (in the black sun veil realm). For the record, though, despite the fact that RtCW was a superior game to the 2009 Wolfenstein (especially given the era), I thought the 2009 game was pretty damn good. I've played through it couple times. In fact, the reason why I was even watching this was because I had never played The New Order or The New Colossus and wanted to see some footage of it, including critiques. I have a wife and baby and am about to finish University (I know, a bit late, given my age), so I haven't really had time to sit down and play a whole game...but I kind of want to. Have you played it? If so, is it worth it?

CARLOSTEIN also, CARLOSTEIN (if your screen name is a Wolfenstein reference, then you clearly know more about it than I [I did play Wolf3d brand new when I was 6, which is what got me into the series] and kudos for that), I've been out of the gaming world for a while now, I don't own any consoles, but have a powerful laptop that I bought for construction design classes at school. My question is this: I do have Steam, but most games remain at their original price for years. The New Order is almost 4 years old now and I don't really want to pay $59 or whatever for it. I looked on Amazon and there wasn't anything promising. After a Google search, I saw some options for MUCH cheaper (like $6), but it says they'll send a download code via email within 24 hours and that sounds like a site where I'm not comfortable giving out my credit card information. Do you have a better idea? I'll check Steam again. I looked at it in early 2016 and it was $59 and I got GTA V instead for the same price. I beat the main story mode, but didn't really get into it past that and deleted it.

CARLOSTEIN nevermind, it was $9.99 on Steam (big drop from $59 in early 2016), so I bought it. Strangely, that was still so expensive after 2 years and yet The New Colossus is only $29.99 and it only came out a couple months ago. I wonder if it's just because it's not as popular or if it's because Steam caught flak for being so expensive or whatever. Either way, I'm not complaining. I'm excited about this. It just sucks that it's a 40.7 GB file and it's just past midnight here (Florida), so there's no possible way that I'll be playing tonight. It'll take about 4:15 to download if it stays constant and I assume it'll probably be a lengthy installation. Sorry for all the ramblings. I was bored and none of my friends were ever into Wolfenstein.

1:07 The unit itself departed from the US during the night, and the attack itself takes place in the early morning. If they'd departed any later, it would've been the afternoon, evening, or night, with the earlier two options having the German AA grid tearing them a new asshole and the latter one having them most likely overshoot the target due to low visibility. 1:13 The bombers themselves are heavily armored from tip to tail, which explains why they need such massive engines and the ability to keep them constantly running in order to stay airborne with cargo. A thick 'padded' steel structure means that most chopping/slicing projectiles aren't able to get that far in before they're stopped by the protective spalling layer. 1:17 He was originally MEANT to not participate, simply to drop the cargo and return back to the US if possible, although, as the war would have it, he ends up crashing, which triggers the events of the game to unfold from that point onward. The Old Blood has an ending which hints at the fact that he doesn't even know this series of events will choose him to make such a big difference, and he only recalls the uncanny circumstances afterwards. 1:25 As much as you might hate to see it, the concept of the aircraft was designed to protect the aircraft, the pilot, and the crew. These things are obviously massive flying tanks, and considering how slim those jets are, the weight of them is all in the engine and the cockpit, while these bombers easily weigh dozens of tons with the literal MONSTERS of engine grids they have. It's comparable to throwing a car into a train. The train will keep going, whether the car likes it or not. The sheer armor plating and design mentioned at the 1:13 point reinforces this. 1:33 The bomber was also made to protect its defensive turrets. It's covered with a thick layer of laminated, bulletproof glass and metal reinforcement bands. Our B-17s back in the actual second world war had quite a bit of said bulletproof glass around the front and rear gunner, same with most fighters doing the same tactic to protect their pilots. The most likely occurrence was that the force of the impact caused the glass to crack/compound, and crumple inward with the steel grating, effectively pushing BJ up and OUT of the gunners chute and back into the cockpit. 1:37 No argument here, he's most likely got a concussion or at least permanent damage to his hearing. 1:43 Also nothing here, that definitely would've killed him. 1:52 What happened is that the rotational pull of the propeller cutting into the other plane caused the cargo transport to go up and OVER while being pulled by the rotational force of its own engine making contact. It sailed over the aircraft to the right and crashed into the water shortly after. There's going to be a large cut in the roof of the troop transport, but other than that, it's going to hold structurally. 2:07 Nothing to say here. 2:23 The game uses moments of him being KOd to elaborate on what's going on, you don't just 'magically' snap out of a concussion for the sake of advancing the plot [Unless it's this game, in which you do.] Not to mention there's still about 7 hours of gameplay before he actually does anything that 'turns it around.' Cut him some slack. 2:30 The early 1946 Panzerhund model is shown to be glitchy and unreliable, it has friendly-fire recognition, but that's about it. Whether or not the machine decides to kill what it grabs or toss it around is just up to the basic programming it has in it at the time. 2:40 Once again, experimental, glitchy, and unreliable, the cockpit also crumpled inwards under the weight of it pouncing. 2:50 Not just any 1940s, WOLFENSTEIN 1940s. 3:00 & 3:08 Refer to 2:30 and 2:40 . 3:25 Killing him means there's nobody to improve and/or cherry-pick the experimental German tech for flaws. It's also a massive blow to morale for both German citizens and the German war machine. His legacy will be left to people that have nowhere near his level of intellectual effectiveness. 3:34 Mental breakdowns were real during the war in times of stress or combat; Having a technique that could calm you down and get your wits together could save your life, this isn't really sinworthy, you're just nitpicking here. 3:41 He's Irish, you and me both know they like to make up insults. 3:54 Nazis are obviously occupied with the rest of the landing force, and due to their current shooting positions, they can't even tell the Americans have reached the castle wall until those grappling hooks came up. He's a smart guy, he wouldn'tve done that if there was actual danger and/or guns currently trained on them. 4:03 You don't know that, and although it's proven you're correct, you still didn't know that to begin with, not all stereotypes are always true. 4:06 He doesn't have one because he was clearly in the middle of reloading before he was getting ready to be sent up, the stick-mag carriers on his uniform are still full, no doubt he'll get a fresh mag in once he's hooked up. 4:09 Considering the games logic, you usually ran out of ammo for your SMG before you reached this part, and were forced to use German assault rifles until you reached the wall and got resupplied by other G.I's. 4:17 No argument here. 4:27 It crashed into the overhooking intersection at the top of the two towers, they're climbing the connection 'tunnel' part between the two towers, which was not impacted by the plane, as a result, the grapples are fine. 4:31 & 4:36 We're talking about B.J. here, he's been through worse. 5:05 Deathshead engineered this stuff, he'll find a way to make it happen. 5:26 Yet he's still done properly and voiced well enough to unsettle almost everyone who plays the game and meets him for the first time. 6:15 Samples means 'testing the waters', he's referring to BJ for help to figure out which he should do, since it's a much lengthier process to extract BOTH when you're only going to be able to effectively use one. 6:42 Once again, he's starting to panic and trying to calm himself down. n i t p i c k i n g 6:47 Got me there. 10:12 And why is this sinnable? 11:17 Armored vehicle with a big ass engine, probably hard to hear anything when that V12 is reverberating through the whole thing. 17:05 He piloted a construction machine of the same general model in The Old Blood. 18:00 Worth saying that he's just humoring himself, he beats Nazi soldiers in full heavy-duty kit to death with a combat knife or his fists, he's definitely still got it. 21:56 Not a smart super-soldier, brawn over brain with that bunch. 25:20 Certain parts of the brain trigger and replicate the effects of tranquilizers. You cut off the current for the electricity to travel through, you don't have a light-bulb, same can be said here. Know I missed a fuck-ton, but these are all the ones that can be re-logicked.

You do know that in the game, the officer at the beginning can be seen jumping into the trunk for cover? Take that sin off.

How did you not sin deathshead holding the grenade for like five full seconds at the end and blaskowicz not doing anything, surviving the explosion despite being no more than two feet away from it, still being able to speak and crawl afterwards?

That's actually pretty much the perfect translation of security camera.

DrakoVongola11 Oh, I most certainly do. I honestly just don't think they're that funny when they try and do good games (like when CinemaSins tries to do with good movies). They try too hard to find "sins", and it's painfully obvious and contrived. I get the schtick; I'd simply rather see them rip into particularly atrocious games/films and tear them apart (which they sometimes do), much like classic AVGN. But that's just my opinion :)

I thought this game was absolutely fantastic to be fair. first game to actually bring me to tears for a moment with klaus kreutz's death scene and his parting words to max. still cant get over it now.

the part with floor collapse is that they fell down went unconcious and deathshead moved them to kill them in the incinerator room ...

Okay, some of these "sins" are just a little too... wrong.

Old Blood = 9/10 This is like a 7/10 . It just drags on way too long, and it doesn't make any sense.

I laughed my ass of at 'sin' 24 kind of being negated by the very next scene of a giant robot dog jumping out of a door leading into the Nazi death-fortress. A headset without batteries allowing for short range communication between the squad kind of pales in comparison. Also I know the Nazis are meant to have the better tech, but I'm sure stealing something like that off a dead soldier in such times could have been easy during the battles leading up to the events of this game. So it could be some advanced tech of theirs the Allied forces are using. Not saying this is bad or anything, just I found that part particularly funny.
