Politicians should have no reason to lie, the dumb crowd of sheep created an environment in which only dishonest selfish greedy men can really be successful as politicians. It is still not an excuse for dishonesty and greed. That said George R R Martin doesn't let the mob pressure him into writing simple-minded crap like the writers of the GoT tv show. He writes it the best way he could possibly do it. And that is a quality politicians should have.

My reply to the original comment is "Duke Nukem Forever." But I do agree he should take his time with the series. It needs to be good in his eyes for us to think it's great. I do however feel it will e very awkward once the show catches up with the books, as the show will either have to go off on a tangent with their own conclusion, which will always be hated by purists and possibly preferred by fans of the show, or GRRM will have to reveal the ending before the series is finished, therefore ruining the books for it's many fans.

@@austingenovachek2803 well, the people in GoT have a very different ethnicity (Andals). They seem to be a lot stronger and a lot smarter than the real world equivalent (Caucasian), so perhaps a woman from that ethnicity can very well be born to have the strength and build of a man. Perhaps it's a genetic defect exclusive to Andal females. Either way, I really like Brienne. She wouldn't be the same without her brute strength.

+T0mN7 I think the problem is that the story will have at least a kind of "moral arc"... not a traditional one but the story will have its kind of justice... but it won't become very clear until the last book or two and Martin may die before he figures out how to pull off such a difficult finale. I hope he does well.

There are many intelligent people who are not smart in this way.

Now, not sure if this accounts to anything- but Game of Thrones is based on the war of the roses, between the houses of Lancaster (Lannister) and the house of York (Stark)... In the real war of the Roses, The house of Lancaster eventually wins- now, I don't think for a second that he would have copied history to the point where the book reaches the same outcome... but it does beg the question- I mean, so much of the books are based on real history, and so many events match real one. Some examples; -The Red Wedding; Based on the 'Black Dinner' where the king of Scotland invited a rival clan to dinner, and proceeded to kill them all at the feast. -The Reins of Castermere; the Reins of Castermere were an actual house in medieval England who rebelled against the English king and were eventually all murdered. The sigil of house rein in Game of thrones, like many sigils of the houses, is identical to the house it's based off in real life... -The Wall is undoubtedly based on Hadrian's Wall built by the Romans across the North of Britain to keep the picts out of Roman Britain... So many things that run parallel to history, I wonder if the end will not somewhat be similar as well?

***** Yup, and the sequels all became progressively worse as they released them due to massive and pervasive retcons and script rewrites.

Attack on Titan in the beginning everyone could die nobody was safe, but that all changed as an exempel he was going to kill the potato girl but did not since the fans loved her he wanted a dark and brutal ending to the series with the titans killing all humans. but he changed his vision for the ending when the show became popular

And thats why grimma stabbed Saruman after he told frodo that grimma has eaten some other hobbit and it ended by archers killing grimma who was trying to run away. That or any other battle in lotr, hobbit, unfinished tales or silmarillion. His books are full of violence. Not saying that i dont like them. Btw Yeah i read the books ;)

love that guy. and I found the answer I was looking for.. he thought about changing stuff cuz ppl found out about his plots and plans but he didn't. And now he totally ignores us so he doesn't have that feeling anymore and thank the heavens for that cuz 100% he would soo change John Snow's theory about his mom if he found out that ppl know his secrets :v

jaime ruiz Exactly, If writers listen to everybody and try to please everybody, then their story would just be a mess. They should just write whatever they feel like writing and not limit themselves
