"Tom Sawyer was written by Mark Twain." 'Go fuck yourself.' Such a savage response to such a neutral statement, I'm laughing really hard

Seriously, how tf does anybody know who held what record in some random year in the 1940s?
[Who was the strongest critic of the Articles of Confederation?] "Damn, that's a tough one. I remember how the top three felt about the Constitution in some way, shape, or form, but the Articles were different. I can't quite remember, and I wouldn't fault Arin for not knowing, so long as he doesn't pick-." [Picks Ulysses S. Grant, who wasn't even born yet]

What's worse is that Dan then follows up with "He was just a general in the army" missing three things 1. The articles of confederation weren't related to the confederate army, or the Civil War at all 2. Ulysses S. Grant was a member of the Union Army, and a general at that. Not the Confederate Army 3. Ulysses S. Grant later became President, so he wasn't "just" in the army. I love the grumps, but American History is not their area of expertise

There's a TAS of the SNES Family Feud game that really exemplifies this quirk.
I love how you showed all the games at the beginning, helps with keeping track of what games they're playing
Dude I've always liked your compilations but I have to say, your timing with the edits and sort of harried pace going from clip to clip made content that was already funny, even more hilarious. I'm dying and some of these I have heard dozens of times. 💯💯💯

“church’s chicken 😏 “
It’s impressive how Grump clips from within the past month are just as meme-worthy as stuff from 5 years ago.
10:04 hearing Dan yell is like hearing your dad yell at you as a kid
26:47 Arin: wow really? Churches Chicken.. never mind 😂😂😂💀
As a chemist, I'm very upset they didn't know that oxygen is the most abundant element in the earth's crust. All rocks are just metals combined with oxygen, such as glass/silica which is silicon dioxide, rust which is iron oxide, and Sapphire and ruby which is aluminum oxide
Person from Nevada: "I'm from Nevada and I pronounce it Nevada." Arin: "BUT ITS FUCKING NEVADA!"
@lv26Phoenix
2 ай бұрын
So, it's a bit complicated, as I understand it. It SHOULD be pronounced Ne-Vah-da because Spanish doesn't really use a short "a" sound. Over time, however, more and more people who didn't speak Spanish moved to Nevada and then took over and essentially legislated that their way of pronouncing it was the correct way when that wasn't how it would've been pronounced by Spanish settlers. All this, of course, doesn't take into account the plethora of natives tribes that were already living there and calling it something else entirely, but that's a much longer discussion. Basically, Nev-A-da is like the Anglicized pronunciation of the Spanish Ne-Vah-Da. But, language does change and once it became the proper name of a place, rather than just a word, proper pronunciation kind of goes out the window.
Everytime Dan got a Question wrong in Hollywood Squares I just yelled “You Fool!”
34:40 Prompt: "Tell me a smell that most people hate." Arin: "Fart." Dan: "Yeah, go for 'fart'." Arin: "Alright... NO, actually you know what? I'm gonna go with 'burp'." Only Arin could/would consider a burp to smell worse than a fart.
The sheer amount of softballs Hollywood Squares gave Arin.
That Peter Pan one on Millionaire. I was confused at first too. But Hook has a pocket watch still. He hears the clock chime though "from the crocodile's belly" still. :)
Arin: "Name something you associate with Australia..." Dan: "ROSS!"
Love Dan’s knowledge of esports. It’s unparalleled.
19:02 "NO NOT GWM EWE"
25:57 - I was in the pool, Britney!
"Richard" [......] *"Chris!"*
How weird is it that I was just deciding on which Game Grumps Game Show VS (Not like I haven't seen them all) I felt like listening to. And then you upload this!
34:35 - I thought, "Oh okay, daddy." Arin: "papa" 35:25 - aaaand zero points
Pennyfart is a beautiful name 😂
Jeopardy does, in fact, NOT have questions. It has answers.
6:25 Name a famous country western singer: "Alan Grant" 🦴🤠🦕
Yes of course, Tom Sawyer - the classic American novel - was written by British author Charles Dickens, obviously.
5:10 to 5:21 had me dying
I know this is going to be wonderful

How can you live for 40+ years and not know Rome is the capital of Italy
@ezekieldiamadaiii3763

This is probably because I was raised Catholic, but every time I heard Rome growing up, I always associated it with the Vatican as opposed to Italy in general. Cue me writing a letter to the Holy See to excommunicate myself (yes, you have to do that to be officially removed as a Catholic) when I google mapped and realized, "How the Hell does the Catholic Church have a seat at the UN?"

Imagine thinking of Atlantic City and thinking of the beaches first. Wtf

The Caspian sea was obvious as the Red Sea is in the Middle East and the Baltic Sea is in Eastern Europe, so….
I don’t even know what they talk about in this video but the thumbnail got me worked up based on when I last heard them talking about it. If people who like their now wanna pronounce it with that kinda A, whatever, language changes. But to say it’s based in the Spanish pronunciation is just flatly incorrect and anyone who actually speaks Spanish could tell you that immediately. Like the word is literally just Spanish meaning “snowed”. The way English speaking Americans pronounce it is way off from that. Colorado is actually a great example of a state name who’s pronunciation has certainly anglicized as you might expect, but it just sounds like an American saying the Spanish word “Colorado” meaning “reddened” basically.
