The movie version is slightly better for having the same engine but with supers, IMO... but this version does have better exclusive characters and a more coherent story mode. Love em both. Too bad my copy got stolen by a classmate in High School. I only have the movie version now.

Mighty morphin power rangers game gear has the Tommy Oliver and his Green Ranger

The only Power Rangers game where you could play as Dragonzord Fighting Mode as a character and not just as a special move.

This game is extremely well done.

@@starofjustice1 how the hell is the game gear a "crappy system"? It had to compete against the damn game boy and still managed to sell 11 million units.. it's a great system with a lot of good games.

@@gopats85 well the original Gameboy is my favorite console/game library of all time and I will still say the game gear is an awesome handheld. I mean it was number 2 behind the gb and 11 million units isn't even bad at all for a company's very first handheld. I don't know why people consider it a failure. Like I get the gb sold WAY more but 11 million should have been enough sales to make a successor to the Game Gear. Instead, they made the Nomad which did fail with only 1 million units sold....

Best portable fighting game of its era.

I remember my Mum getting me this game and a Game Gear for Christmas the year it came out. Fun times. I do remember being stuck on the Polluticorn level for quite some time, mainly because I could never prepare myself for Goldar's sneak attacks and ended having lost half my health by the time I fought Polluticorn. I can tell you I burned through quite a few batteries back in the day.

I know your pain. I got stuck for a while and then with Cyclopsis just before the end. Had to get an electrical charger always connected to go through it.

I got confused playing the snes Game. Wall jumping.

I'm holding my phone sideways & pretending I'm playing on my Game Gear.

This got me through a ton of road trips as a kid. Awesome game

My cousins from 7 states away would come down for a visit in the 90s when I was like 9. They had a game gear and this game, and this is literally the one highlight I remember of the system lol it was a pretty well done power rangers Sega game gear game

The fact that it has good compos and special attacks different for any rangers shows that they give love to this game

I LOVED this game as a kid. I remember having each ranger fight the monster they had to fight alone like in the show. The best Power Rangers game I've played on old-gen consoles.

I have one copy for my GG. Very nice control, can run, can use varius special attacks. It was very impressive back then

When the *GAME GEAR* can do Go Go Power Rangers better than the *GENESIS* you know somebody messed up. (Granted, the Movie game is awesome on every system. ...Except the Game Boy.)

This was one of my favorite game gear games.

I suggest playing this video at 1.25x speed. As this guy is playing the PAL (24FPS) version where I had the NTSC (30FPS) version And the game speed is tied to the gramerate.

Didn't the game gear use RGB? Where NTSC/PAL wouldn't matter?

Playback at 1.25x speed is pure nostalgia in NTSC 60hz land.

How do you get so much fun out if a 2 button handheld?

you can play this today at retro games. Not as easy as my game gear but manageable with keys on a keyboard.

You can't,he doesn't have that sword anymore once you are able to fight with green ranger,on the Genesis version you can fight as evil green ranger tho

Probably the best fighting game for a portable system at that time. The only one that comes close is the Game Boy version of Killer Instinct.

The Sega Game Gear version of this game is hands down better than all other console versions including the Genesis, Sega CD, and SNES. Where this game really shines is the unlockable dream mode you get to play in the 1 player vs after beating the story mode. You get to do all impossible matchups.....putty patrol vs the Megazord, Green Ranger vs Dragonzord, etc.....I still have this game. Now if only I could find my Game Gear.....

I feel so lame for recognizing they recycled so much of the dialogue from the genesis version.

It was a decent game for game gear. Which teenage mutant ninja turtles had moves like this .

Used to own this game. Best Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 1 game. Better than Nintendo's versions IMO. This coming from the kid who owned an Super NES.

I’ve could’ve kept this game plus the game gear and the accessories to this device for many years to come because I used to play this video game back on Sega game gear when the TV series was still on the air back in the 90s because this game is very well done because I played it even at its highest level in past it with flying colors because this came to me look like a child seven up complete this.

The monsters from the mighty Morphin power tv series that are in the game gear mighty Morphin power rangers video game are king sphinx from a pressing engagement nasty knight from happy birthday Zack shell-shock from trouble with shell shock polluticorn from clean up club and cyclopsis from doomsday part 1 and 2. Green ranger and dragonzord are from green with evil parts 1 2 3 4 and 5

I guess because of how much work it would've been. Because if he's in the game, then he has to become playable when you beat him, and they have to make Dragonzord playable too. That would've been awesome, though.

To me, it's like Kung Fu Master, but with a limited space. It also reminds me of Battle Hero Ogre (i think that's the name) on the DS
