@@theShermanator you were right, I just fought to day5 and its great change of pace when you find a hidden emplacement. thanks for this bro. My friends also did a team game and we started as the US, fighting Russia, we only got so far thanks to the use of artillery.

The only thing that I have a major dislike about in conquest enhanced is the overwhelming amount of snipers in the mid-late game. It is super annoying having entire squads wiped out by 6 snipers hidden by the fog of war :p

By mid-late game, you should have Tanks - AT tanks as the core of your army instead of infantry. Captured AI tanks are the best since they are scaled with difficulty. Your infantry should as spotters for your tank, turn their mode to hold fire/return fire to avoid drawing fire from the enemy snipers. Also, dig trenches to protect your infantry.

This mod is absolutely brutal. Great fun and extremely frustrating at the same time. The AI is also very evil when flanking. I found that patience and artillery fire are key to victory. If on the offense: Don't rush, draw in and kill the enemy reinforcements from a position where you have the advantage, then push systematically, use recon units and officers to spot targets (a hidden AT or AA gun will ruin your day). If on the defense: Make a defensive line or strong points, depending on the situation; have mobile units available to respond to emergencies; and be aware the enemy will outlank you.

A Collab between Sherm and Jelly Bean was not on my 2024 bingo list.

Conquest Enhanced has been almost all of my GoH hours. You should check out the Infantry Modification mod recently released with CE compatibility @Shermanator - improves grenade throwing difference, AI doesn't run away from foxholes, they engage better on their own. Helps a lot with the micro management you need in CE as you get further along.

They need to bring turn off friendly fire option in conquest because my dumb field guns killing my own infantry. Makes it so frustrating. Great video btw, collab of my favourite gates of hell ostfront streamers

I'm new to this game, me and a friend tried this gamemode and at first sight it looked fantastic. My biggest gripe with it is that it seems that I have to share my units with my friend thus needing to build a "deck" together with my friend? Would be perfect if my friend could just make his own deck and bring that, or maybe you can actually do that and im just dense? Appreciate any answers, thanks.

So you sadly have to (or whoever hosts) make the deck, might be fun to stream via Discord so ur friend can watch/have input on it. I hope they will add a feature where coop players can make smaller decks but each their own. Usually I will give my friend his own "phase" so phase 1 is his, phase 2 is mine etc GoH is such a great game, always good to see new people get into it!

I want to play with this mod enabled (CEV2 with the Valour compatch), but it just tanks my performance. My frames dip to a slideshow and loading screens take ages. Might just be my laptop though.

Even with my decent (tho old PC) it would be about 3ish minutes of loading from menu to the game and similar when loading out of game to menu again lmao

@@theShermanator yeah, I just don't really feel like I have the kind of time to justify waiting that long for a battle, unfortunately. I love the prospect of the longer conquest and the new features, but I'm just sticking with plain old Valour for now. Great video by the way!

I enjoy the mod but when its the first mission of the conquest on normal difficulty and the Russians have a Sherman 76 sitting on both their points its just kind of bullshit

Would love a list for conquest late war, specially for germans. Fighting americans with early year equipment on my Squads is kinda weird

I love this game but I don't know how anybody plays against AI. They are ZOMBIES. Sure, the barrier to entry in PVP is high bc its competitive, but I don't see how its not the only thing ppl play in this game.
