Hi Jerika, Xanthan Gum is best mixed in vegetable glycerin and then added to water. That way, it prevents clumping of the gum.

If you compare the resulting solutions from different methods of Xanthan dispersion with more light and possibly magnification, you will find the glycerin is much better to disperse the Xanthan so it can be wetted as discrete particles in the water. I’m sure it likely doesn’t matter for this product, but if you were making something with a smooth texture, like lotion, it would. Want you to be successful and not frustrated. ❤

I came down here to mention the same thing! It’s also loads faster to disperse in glycerin than it is in water

I use those collapsable boxes, too. They fit inside of a USPS padded mailer when you fill them with soap and it gets heavy. Totally saves postage. I use them for gift sets. I like the size you are using because I need some boxes for smaller orders. I'll have to check them out.

Please do a vlog of how you prepare for when you reopen. Heres a tip for designing labels. I find to make words stand out on your label, put a border around each letter or a shadow. Use either white or black depending on the color your text is in. It will make the words pop and not look flat & blended into the rest of the label design.

LOVE the Golden Bubble goodies for this month - again !!! Little Miss Rayne is going to be able to use the bath bomb tomorrow night when we have her for the evening. I cannot wait for her to see it. Thank you, again. Now, I have a Polono and I would throw it away if I didn't spend so much on it. Every time I fill an order and print the label, I have to uninstall the printer and then reinstall it again. It's crazy. I have ink jet and laser printers and NEVER have to go through all of this to print. It drives me nuts. I wish I would have found you and this printer before I bought the Polono. Thank you for sharing 🙂

The Munbyn printer has revolutionized my shipping process - im not exaggerating! Love this little pink powerhouse!

I love the part where you made the labels with your shipping label printer. I've been using a phomemo m200 for product labels. It's very convenient to use with my phone. I've yet to see any videos on making product labels with a thermal printer and a computer. Thanks.

The thermal printer is limited in that it doesn’t print color! But you can definitely get creative and do a nice all black label. The quality is really great on the Munbyn, and it would save so much money in cartridge costs! 😅

I was lucky enough to get to go to one of Taylor Swifts' Houston shows. My best friend surprised me with tickets for us to go! I wouldn't have personally called myself a "Swiftie" but I totally get it now. It was absolutely amazing. The energy in that space is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Swifties really are a different kind of human in the very best way. The love that people share in Taylor Swift brings people of all walks of life together. I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. I'd definitely recommend you go if you ever get the opportunity. The entire experience was incredible. Hope you enjoy the movie! And your labels are adorable! Love them!

Cale took me to a Taylor swift cover band in a bar in Calgary and the energy in there was insane. 500 swifties crammed in a bar singing “all too well the 10 minute version” at the top of their lungs all for a cover band. I can’t imagine what that would be like at her concert. I really hope to go to a show someday!!!

The golden bubble patrons are kinda like that! But once we re-open, definitely! The GB gifts have been my trial run offering this monthly subscription style of product and I’ve been doing it for a year now. Most of My GB patrons have been there since month 1 so I must be doing something right! Excited to launch and offer this to my customers once I do 😊

being a thermal printer what temp range do you get before the sticker goes completely black? I know that a number of places use these types of machine for receipts but they dont hold up for long, and i cant find any details on the website as to printing durability! Im in Australia and we can get days up to 45 degrees Celsius (113F) in my area with other areas hitting 50 degrees (122F) and above so im trying to find a printer that will hold up!!

I’m self taught. A degree in English lit, but was a technical writer creating manufacturing and packaging documents for a pharmaceutical company. I’ve worked as a researcher, writer and documentation administrator for software companies and Apple. I love to dig deep in stuff I’m interested and share what I’ve learned with people 😊
