I remember my first console, It was a bootleg gameboy (first one) Called the 9999 in one :it had like 6 games and the only good one Tetris, all the graphics are huge black pixels on a green back ground ,It was atrocious! Ans I love it! By that I mean I f***ing hate it!

I found one of these that contained over 100 games at a flea market. the games were Star Wars, a Duck Tales game, some shooting game, Spy vs Spy and a Batman game. The rest of the games were just those ones repeated with different names. The best part was the label, as the image for "Daffy Duck" was a image of a cartoon sparrow sitting on a anime girl, and the image for "Star Wars" was a image of a random plane

Oh God, I have like two or three of those bootleg cartridges and I used to play SO MUCH Battle City. I don't know why, I just did and it was so fun to me. I bought said cartridges mainly so I could play Pokemon Crystal and Harvest Moon, which both worked surprisingly well for bootleg copies.

OK also I wanna point out one of my cartridges has aversion of that Mario 4 game and it's like, 300 times worse than the version Conner showed here and it's so weird to me seeing that game as... not a pile of garbage.

Heinkyo alien and Battle City both originally were arcade games in the early 80s (battle city actually started out as a 1980 arcade game called Tank Battalion). That’s why they’re so simplistic gameplay and graphics wise. They’re literally ports. Also the NES version of Battle City is really good if you are willing to try it out....

i played 7 grand dad a couple days ago on a bootleg cartridge emulator. so that exists. also i played the pokemon green thing on another emulator. why do emulators have these.

I had a few multi-carts when I was a child. I don't remember them being hacks and they were all original titles. One of them had a game where you control a monkey and was awesome! Wish I could remember the title. I only have two working ones, 15 in 1 and 22 in 1. They only had 1 color game (Pokémon Yellow and Super Mario Bros Deluxe) while the rest were Gameboy games. Interestingly the two Gameboy games uses SRAM (those cell batteries) and the PCB itself uses a cell hoarder, making it easier to swap the batteries. Unlike Nintendo where I have to buy a special tabbed battery and have to solder the new battery in.

Correction: Japan had all three colors. Red/Green were the early bug-ridden versions. blue was the improved/rewritten version (which also was the basis for all the international versions)

I have a bootleg Gameboy cartridge. Best cartridge around. It has all the pokemon games on it. It has all the Gameboy pokemon games. And I have a GBA cartridge which has the pokemon of the that era AND a DS one that has all the pokemon in that one. Great deal. It saves and its cheaper and convenient.

I had an old Game Boy Advance SP that I played that Alien game.
