If he can’t afford it, then he needs to sell the home. At the end of the day, the lady doesn’t have any legal right to his house.

Agreed. My husband doesn't handle money like I do. We've been married for 3 decades. If my husband passes away, I'm moving. I refuse to pay on a THIRD mortgage with you when OUR MONEY paid for the house in cash the first time. Zero mortgage. Great man. Not so great with money. ALL of our finances have been separate for at least 12 years now. Works out well for us.

I was upset with my parents when they wouldn't co sign on a home for me- then I co signed on a car with my now ex-husband who made no payments and now have that on my credit. I apologized to my parents and learned a valuable lesson I'll pass down to my kids.

It’s different from something like an auto loan. She co-signed for the financial obligation (which is not the ownership aka deed). She could’ve been initially on the deed had she known to have her name listed. He likely knew she didn’t know so applied just his name … she can still be added to the deed but he would have to initiate that

He talking about made a mistake , but you don’t keep making the same old mistakes over and over again, he used her and got what he wanted.Make this a life lesson and change in the future and leave along
