I agree only under the conditions that they did another take for Gallys monologue about Chuck. The wall Will Poulter delivered that line.... i just didn't feel it. Ik Will is very capable of capturing the proper emotions tho, hes an amazing actor! This scene just wasnt his best work.

Every movie has deleted scenes it's just how it goes... No point in including all of it as it leaves us with a little unpredictability and more suspense.

@@yoursports6910 It adds unpredictability and suspense as was stated before... and you basically just said what I said that it makes sense for some to be deleted... which is what's happening here and in every movie. Movie made plenty of sense to me. We're just going in circles now. Deleted scenes like these will always happen. But that's why we have KZread to watch the deleted scenes :)

This should have been in the movie for sure along with Gally saving Newt in the train tunnel. I always felt they trusted Gally a little too easily. This makes more sense.

I agree. It is little moments like that that show Gally's character arc in becoming a better man. He was willing to own what he did. That takes courage.

The first time Gally mentioned Chuck, I was like “Dude; don’t even think about it”

i feel like this scene shouldve been included for the sole purpose of gallys character growing

"None of this works unless we trust each other" sounded familiar to me, until I realized that it was one of the rules of the Glade! To quote Alby, "Never harm another Glader. None of this works unless we have trust." Gally's trying to be better on that one rule he broke! (and before u ask, yes, i have memorized the whole movie (the first movie) and also yes i have read the books)

The thing is that gally wasn't the one who killed chuck. Chuck sacrificed himself for Thomas, and that time gally wasn't even in his good condition, I mean he's infected, remember? He can't control himself..

The fact that gally has a telescope like Galileo used, it just make the scene all the more better.

They should just make maze runner extended version movies. Like The Lord of the Rings.

This scene develops Gally as a character so much more

Dylan O'Brien and Thomas Brodie-Sangster are both 5'10", which is average height. Will Poulter on the other hand is 6'2", making him several inches above average height. He's taller than both of them, but none of them are considered short.

SO MANY DELETED SCENES THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DELETED , my godness they are ALL good

I love him sm you don't even know. everyone says he's bad/horrible/the worst, yes I get it he killed chuck but he had reasons. i'm not saying that it is ok he did it, i'm saying try to see from his view. gally has been in the glade for about 2-3 years, it's his home. of course he doesn't wanna leave, after getting stung he saw the real world. he was just trying to protect his family from the outside world. I think he even forgave himself about the "bad things he has done. like in TDC he says "stop it's alright" when thomas punches him, and "look I know what I did, I see chucks face every time I close my eyes" he has to life with this regret everyday. it's like the same thing with teresa, I hate her yes, but she had a point. gally is so underrated, he wasn't a monster he was just broken and afriad. he's my favorite and will always be❤️

It was Chuck’s choice to stand in the way and give his life to save Thomas, so why don’t people blame him instead? Gally inadvertently killed him.

It makes way more sense after seeing that because they trusted gally way to much and the chuck part to in the movie gally really never say anything about chuck he only writes his name on the rock in the safe haven

I feel like this one and where newt says about his leg should have stayed in

I understand the need for the director to consider pacing and even this one exchange may have slowed the building momentum as they were moving towards trying to break in to the Last City, but had this little moment been included it would’ve added even more poignancy and weight to Gally being the one carving Chuck’s name into the stone at the end of the film. Especially as Vince said the rock was a way to “make their peace” with what had gone before.

Because the spear missed his important veins and heart. You think he was aiming for Chuck? As I remember correctly in the first film, he was intending to kill Thomas. And as I remember correctly the first film, Gally was intending to kill Thomas. It was Chuck’s choice to stand in the way and give his life to save Thomas, so why don’t you blame him instead?
