Gallium is the terminator metal because it can change shape, form fidget spinner, go through aluminum and form explosive gases. Some tricks with gallium and Galinstan are shown in the video.
1) Gallium melts in hot sulpuric acid. It can be collected with a micropipette and small droplets join in a very funny way.
2) Potassium dichromate crystals are added, which makes gallium wobbling due to the formation of insoluble salts on the metal surface. The change of interfacial tension makes gallium change its shape.
3) In the second experiment, hydrogen peroxide is added instead of dichromate and the gallium droplet is touched with an iron wire. Now gallium makes itself as flat as possible and white layer (oxide?, sulphate?) forms at the metal surface. When gallium is heated shortly with a torch, it forms a single droplet and then again makes itself flat. Gas bubbles (probably oxygen) start bubbling through the metal and it becomes a flat white flower.
4) Then we prepared galinstan by heating together solid metals gallium (68%), tin (22%) and indium (10%). While gallium melts at 29.8 °C, Galinstan is even liquid at −19 °C. It can be spread onto a glass to make a mirror. Gallium and galinstan form an alloy with aluminum and this alloy reacts with water releasing hydrogen. So it can be used to store energy - aluminium and water on board of a hydrogen fuel cell car can make several times more hydrogen than high pressure hydrogen balloons could possibly accommodate and it is safer as well.

Does anyone know the musician/artist/composer/whatever/whomever that created these atmospheric, psychedelic sounds? It sounds like vintage Cluster or Tangerine Dream from the '70's, but obviously not--or some of the trippy/spaced-out experimentation that Pink Floyd used to do in the early days. Any information would be appreciated! Perhaps the music was created specifically for this video? Glad other people noticed it, as well, and enjoyed!

These younger generations are not being taught anything of serious substance to make them competitive in the world. The reason Asians are so competitive is because their culture is set into striving for high competitiveness. If they fail, they bring great dishonor to their families' name. Our children's education was hijacked by immoral daydreamers that are not rooted in facts and science. They are screwing this next generation up quite thoroughly.
This metal was used in the movie Terminator Judgement Day for the T 1000 terminator effects. The liquid metal they talked about in the movie was this. If you see the video, some part of it are so relatable from the movie scenes.

Looks like this material can be used as an artificial heart for robots. Add different materials in a confined area to make it pressurized to produce the pumping action. Very interesting alloy.

Great video....as a kid in the 60's we played a lot with mercury...we had a test tube of it at home and played with it regularly...so much fun ...so dangerous....my siblings and I are all still alive and well ..so no harm done ( luckily...lol )....if I was still teaching this would have been a great vid to show in Science class... amazing metal.....Science is amazing !! Thank you !

+TeslasLoveChild there are cheaper methods, such as high temperature reaction between methane and water vapour. But if gallium would be cheaper then this method could be used for hydrogen cars, for example

JIGJ te,p methane and water vapour * this requires input energy.. since the metals in question have a low melting point they require little energy to make the alloy, right ? and so, simply with a one kg bar of this alloy and place it in some water and have a tube on it, and the extracted Hydrogen pumps into a tank which can be used for electricity.. am I missing something ?
