Galicia is an autonomous community of Spain and historic nationality under Spanish law.
Located in the northwest Iberian Peninsula, it includes the provinces of A Coruña, Lugo, Ourense and Pontevedra.
Galicia is located in Atlantic Europe. It is bordered by Portugal to the south, the Spanish autonomous communities of Castile and León and Asturias to the east, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and the Cantabrian Sea to the north.
It had a population of 2,701,743 in 2018 and a total area of 29,574 km2 .Galicia has over 1,660 km of coastline, including its offshore islands and islets, among them Cíes Islands, Ons, Sálvora, Cortegada Island, which together form the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park, and the largest and most populated, A Illa de Arousa.
This area of Spain is famous outside of his borders, briefly, for its pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, its wild and green landscapes and for its sweetness of life, as well as its gastronomy.

I am from Ireland. I feel very attached to this place, I haven't visited yet, but one of the few places that remind me of Ireland. Galicia has a Celtic culture also

My Great Grandpa used to live in Galicia when he was 16 due to the Spanish Civil war in the 30s he had to leave spain and went to Cuba but he later went to live his life in Panama I was born in Panama but I hope one day i'll visit Galicia

Lástima que muchas comunidades de montés no permitan el acceso o incluso lo entorpezcan....y que cada vez quede menos monte autóctono y prime la esplotacion forestal por encima del Casi todo. Sigue siendo una Tierra preciosa con lugares mágicos e únicos.Lugsres que unen como nadie,mar, monte y cielo cerrando las leyendas de está Tierra meiga.

Es una pena que te hayas olvidado completamente de la zona norte de Galicia más salvaje, menos turística y para mí mucho más bonita. Ribadeo, San Andrés de teixido, Cedeira, playa de Villarrube, Valdoviño, playas de ferrolterra, mirador de Vixia herbeira...

@@danssin8354 eso no significa que no se pueda decir XD. Galicia y Galiza desde incluso antes del s.XV. De hecho, es la forma patrimonial (junto a Galicia). Ambas formas están recogidas y aceptadas en la RAG.
