Great Video. Works for the Samsung Rugby Smart as well. Just a little harder to get the case apart without damaging the rubber they use on the outside.

Only one thing, at 16:12 ->connecting the digitizer when you say push this... down(i don´t understand the word, my EN is not so good.. -> if you have a new screen glass it can be, that there isn´t a double density conducting tape under, so i had the problem that the touch didn´t work. After removing this little conducting tape/net from the old screenglass and sticking it on that underside of the new one, it worked.

Hi ... I have some questions. I have successfully changed my broken digitizer. Now I have problem with proximity sensor it thinks its always covered. I checked but sensor its in his place and not covered. So when I make cal screen automatically go black and never come back on. So If I want to turn screen back on I must remove the battery and restart the phone. Had you seen anything like it?

Hi! I dropped my S5690 on the floor and after it it stopped working. I took the battery out and tired to open it. It got stuck in the black screen with the text: " Samsung Galaxy Xcover S5690". Because it didn't do anything after that, I removed the battery again but then it didn't open at all. There are no visible damage anywhere and this is not the first time I have dropped it but it has always opened. Any idea what is the problem??

Did you try that thing shown below using the double sided tape from the old digitizer? I bought a brandnew digitizer in ebay.de (they said it is an original Samsung with tape), i repaired it (everything worked fine), but now the touch screen is working slow and on some spots even not at all. Any idea / help?

hi....i have the same problem i broke my screen on my samsung xcover phone tryed everywhere to get it fixed i tryed to get it fixed but the lad that was doing it said the screen that he got the touch screen would not work i dont no what to do now where can i order a screen ,,,if you can help i would be very greatfull ...Dean

and does it really stay watertight even if you disassemble it.. i would just imagine that the casing and plastic parts could get some small dents that might let some water in..?

I broke the glass on mine, and got it replaced with help from this video. But now the touch is working poorly. It's very slow, and some spots on the screen doesn't work at all. I tried disassemblying it, and putting it together again very accurately - I can't see I've done anything wrong. Anyone know what can be the problem? It actually worked better with the old (broken) screen..

don't worry, its nothing you have done. Its a faulty new digitizer, ask the seller for a replacement..

hi i ahve mobile galaxy xcover tg-s5690 the problem with the boot wher i switch on the samsung logo appear and restart again and again I have update the firmware by ODIN (on the download screen) inter it pressing ( volume down+home+power) and i have reser factory and delete cash on the recovery screen(volume up+home+power) but nothing happen steel restart boot failed please help me
