@@shkinahunt8630 sent it off to be repaired by Samsung. Was going to be like $80 or so as it was out of warranty but ended up being covered as I think it was covered by that update that apparently bricked a bunch of watches.

I got the lightning bolt - no green circle or % charged. Then continued to cycle between the black screen and Samsung word every minute or so.

My watch has been stuck on à failure to read something mode for months. This video had me up and going in 30 seconds. Amazing! Thank you.

Thank you. Had my new watch connected for about a week but then wouldn't connect again. I have an iPhone. Also the watch was charged 100%, but turned black when off the charger. Finally saw this video and reset the watch which worked instantly

My friend connected a Quick Charger (5V 9V 12V) to it. What part can be burned out? Last time we just took everything apart, put it back together and display worked. But now, battery volage is 3.9V (charged) and SM-R500 watches don't work. Display is black. There is only a short vibration everytime when I put watches on the wireless charger.

Mine is not showing Samsung logo when I press the 2 buttons but when I charge it, it charges. So I guess my screen is not damaged but it is not turning on. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to turn my watch on.

Mine just shut off Monday n won't turn ever since too

My galaxy watch was working fine. And then all of a sudden wouldn't charge and now the battery is completely dead to the point where even holding down the two buttons won't work. It still won't charge with a new charger and living it "charging" for hours...is this just horrible Samsung hardware?

Method one worked for me! Thank you so much for the video. Another question: how can I keep it charged? This watch seems to burn battery life really fats without me even using it?

I put my galaxy watch on the charger a couple nights ago and when I next went to put it on it was completely dead. I have tried holding both buttons, nothing will work, its just dead. I have also tried a different watch on my charger and it works fine. Really disappointed as my watch is only 6 months old.

I just got my Samsung A4 watch about a week ago. I left it on the charger all day yesterday and when I checked it, it was fully charged but when I tried to retrieve it late fast night, it was completely dead. Would keeping it on the charger drain the battery? I also put a mesh rose gold strap on it that is magnetic and I'm thinking maybe the magnet has an issue with the battery. I tried both of your techniques and I still can't get the watch to load. It's still within the 30-day window so I guess I'll have to return it.

I pressed the two buttons and only get a bunch of tiny specks of different color lights. Sort of a like galaxy but doesn't do anything after that. My phone does connect to it but the watch screen remains the same. Screen is damaged right?

I'm having same issue, I can feel mine vibrate randomly tried both methods several times and still no luck. I'm dieing over here without my watch. Was stuck on rebooting screen for abit (started having problem when in shower) now it won't turn on but feel random vibration....PLS PLS HELP SOMEONE!

Same issues with mine, it hasn't had any water contact or damage. None of the steps work. I've even tried remote factory resetting through galaxy wearable app to no avail

I tried but I cannot get mine to turn on. No Samsung logo when I hold down both buttons, nothing but black screen. It worked fine yesterday, put it on the charger when I went to bed. it was a green light on the charger when I woke up. took it off the charger and left for work,. tried checking the time when I got to work and all I had was a black screen.

Just bought this watch, out of box it was already dead, then i watched your solutions, it worked exactly 💯 same . Thank you so much for the video

@@rushiprasadpatil1814 so is mine.. it won't charge (at all) using the original watch charger but I am able to get it to begin charging when using my phone's "wireless power share" feature. So I'm trying to get it charged enough to do the hold both buttons then release and tap top button method to try and get it to continue the boot loading process now. I'll update shortly with the results.

This is what worked for me: I turned on wireless powershare on my galaxy phone, took my case off, and put the watch on my phone (which vibrates when it detects something is charging) and eventually it showed the charger indicator on the watch. I waited a bit longer and then it started up fine. I then used the charger it came with and everything is fine

After you hold both buttons down and the Samsung logo pops up and start tapping the top button for the key screen to show up. I click continue and hold the top button but the Samsung logo doesn't pop up for me

So. Mine just started doing this and I think it happened from over heating since I left it on the charger over a day cause I was not home but it was completely dead the night before. I have been seeing the lightning bolt but it shows me the percent is at 2 right. Well, if I let it go black after not touching the screen, it shows the warning sign/yellow triangle symbol? I have to physically turn it on and let it charge as of the minute but is this something really bad?

Same. But when I do reset, I do get to the language question but that's as far as It will let me go. Phone app won't connect at that point either. I did have a 3% battery before charging

This info worked great on my Galaxy Watch 2--which gave me a frowny face and stopped charging. it's now fully charged.

Mine wasn't working when it was brand new out of the box. I tried both buttons and got no response. What DID work was when I swapped out my generic charger for a Samsung one. Within 10 seconds on the charger it lit up. Hope this can help someone!

Oh man... Just got it fresh out of the box, tried to "load" it with an Ikea charger, the charger did blink, but the Watch did nothing. Then I tried it on my Samsung S10 (with a case on) via Wireless Power-Sharing, and again, the S10 said its loading, but the Watch did nothing. Reading your comment, I tried it one more time, but without the case on the S10 - and voila! It worked and the Watch showed me the lightning icon. After 5m it also showed the Temperature-Icon, so I guess I need an Original Charger. Thanks :)

Didnt help me. So sad. Mine went completely dead in the middle of the night. Put it on the charger this morning and after 45 minutes it was still dead.... no lightning bolt. Tried three different chargers, all of which work on my boyfriends watch, no good for me. So sad. =(

My active was showing the high temperature sign for a bit before completely shutting off altogether. I have the original Galaxy Watch. It struggles to start charging. And when it starts, it only goes up to 3% and shows that the watch is to hot to charge. This started a few months back after using it for a year and a half.

Why does this happen? I think my Watch Active 2 is better than the 5 I bought. Also, it won't charge on the 3rd party charging devices that my active 2 works on. I am so frustrated. Oh! and it doesn't charge on the back of my galaxy either.
