@Weenie Hut Jr's I haven't gotten it, recently was looking at tablets after I get my new pc which has been ordered so gonna save up more before getting the s7 be upgrading from the tab e so can't wait for that and hope you've been enjoying it and yeah I'm personally gonna be using it for watching stuff etc besides emulation once I get it at night :p

Online console gaming in 98. People were still playing Zelda and Pokémon Snap. I think DC would have done better if it had a second control stick and decent one in general.

Dreamcast was an amazing console for the time and highly underrated. One mistake on Sega and the console didn't last!

@@Wedeemgaming yeah, in the age where CD burners were finally coming on up, this was the silent killer. SEGA should gave known better. I still stand by that second analog stick though. It would have made third party ports difficult. Playing the Prince of Persia or battlefront ports on PSP vs PS2 are essentially the same games, but control entirely different.

I look forward to a few years time where this kind of emulation is possible on a much more affordable device. Once we get to that point the real fight between chinese emulation handhelds etc will really start to become more about comfort/screen etc. We're so close.

Goal posts will just keep moving, once we can emulate ps2, 3ds etc then we will want 360/ps3 emulation. You can already emulate everything up to and including n64 pretty much perfectly on $100 phones

@@chrisdoublel Another 5 years and we will be emulating 360 games. From what I understand about PS3 architecture it won't be that easy. Power won't be the problem, but the PS3's Cell processor will make it difficult. Remember when Sony was like oh one day you'll have a cell processor in your toaster that will help your gaming performance lol Although hopefully we will reach that ecosystem with ARM chips in everything

Nice! Awesome to see PS2 and Game Cube emulation. 6th Generation game console emulation is my primary desire for portable devices seeing as I've had that on PC's for YEARS now.

Looking back at past video's to decide which tablet to get when out at work with down time, looks like it'll be the Galaxy Tab S8 (or + or Ultra) with it's ability to do God of War at 2X resolution for PS2. =D

I know tech progresses, but seeing gamecube and ps2 run on a device that isn’t a powerhouse pc will continue to amaze me. I remember when that was considered a pipe dream or “far off” for years.

@@kallpakk i think we're already there. Alien Isolation just got an IOS/android release awhile ago.

gaming beast + second best tablet to draw in the world + amazing screen for vids/videos == I'll buy this next year when it gets cheaper.

I ended up trading in my ipad air 2019 for a tab s7 128gb. No super amoled like the plus version but still a really nice ips display slightly smaller at 11 inch. However my old usb c to hdmi adapter works just fine if I want to play on a bigger screen. The vast majority of the emulators I have tested run just fine at full speed with the 6gb of ram. I also went with a aftermarket keyboard case as it was only $50 on amazon and has a backlit keyboard.

And I thought my Motorola G fast plus with 4gb of ram and a Snapdragon cpu running citra dolphin 🐬 and everything else in between was a beast 👊. But this is impressive

@@luisfernando55 desktop shortcuts like copy, paste, undo works as expected. Renaming of file with a press of f2 also works in dex as well as holding down the left button on the mouse and selecting a list of files. Drag and drop also works but it only copies the file from 1 location to another. Holding control and selecting different files also works well too. F5 for refresh in web browser also works well too.

If you spent $800 on a laptop it will get you a real desktop experience and will emulate Wii U, maybe even Switch

Awesome tablet. I'll wait until next year black friday and hopefully goes down to 250 or 300. It's now on sale at 560 on amazon.

Hey ETA, for future videos on 3DS emulation, I strongly suggest either turning off audio stretching or using the MMJ build of citra. You'll get much better performance.

Great content as usual. Do you plan to do Google Chromecast Sabrina vs Fire TV Stick 4K review?

This tablet can easily handle 3ds games upscaled 3x if you use Citra mmj or Citra Ishiruka. These forks of Citra work way better than the main version. I play DQ8 using mmj with no problems at all.

The vanilla Tab S7 is on sale at Best Buy, $549 for the 128 GB model and $579 for 256 GB. The 512 is on sale too but for $649, a bit much personally. I went with this tablet instead of a phone upgrade. The 865 should last for quite a while and is damn powerful.

I've just the S7, but I love mine to death. I bought it to replace my long gone ASUS EP121 which I also used for artwork. I'm quite the happy camper now that I don't have to be anchored to my desk to draw. I've got a 1TB micro SD card coming for it as well. Don't see myself needing to upgrade for a looooooong time.

Thanks for this great videos! Can you do a video explaining the versions of dolphin on Android? Like mmj, 2k mod? Different settings and all of that? I can't wrap my head why I can't run anything on the playstore versión of dolphin on my Samsung s9+

Hello ETA PRIME & well done. I really like your videos. I have no doubt that this android tab is the best right now. But for PPSSPP emulation, I recommend you use Killzone Liberation instead of GoW. I would rate this game harder to emulate than even the GoW titles or Midnight Club.

Got an S7 partly due to this video, although retroarch 1.8.9 crashes when minimised or locked. Otherwise this is great!

It is a beast, that's some serious performance!

I have the note 20 ultra same.cpu and setup except has 12 gigs ram and its a monster for games. The 650 has nearly the same tflops as a xbox one. I believe its like 1.38 tflops pretty crazy

I managed to get a regular S7 for a decent price (I don't see any huge difference between the plus version but the price tag). I'm switching my travel (drawing/photo, video editing) workflow to mobile devices, and decided to go with S7 instead of the Ipad because android has easier file management and I can also have fun with retro gaming emulation. I also need to mention that the Galaxy device user gets to use clip studio free for 6 months.

file management is everything. im leaving apple as well. went from mac pro with a macbook pro an ipad pro all to razer blade, galaxy s20 and galaxy tab. i regret nothing.

Hey I have a questions, I have that tablet and when I'm in gameplay on cod ( call of duty mobile) , seems like every other game the tablet crashs. Has this happen to you?

Some of the closing words of the review say something important with regards to whilst this being the best there is, there will be a better one along next year. It is quite an expensive upgrade each year.

I recently bought a cheap galaxy Tab s3 with the snapdragon 820 quad core 2 at 2.15 and 2 at 1.6 ghz and I'm so impressed with how it delivers especially emulators so impressed it was due to u with the s4 n can't thank u enough I just wish I could afford to do the same again and buy a cheap s6

Hello I hope you can see my comment. While using the tablet did you notice any heating issue on the bottom center of the screen (while landscape)? it is located near the keyboard connector.

I wonder what games would be like if the Switch had as much power as this tablet.

I just bought one this past weekend. It's really awesome. I ordered a case for it and I also have to buy a gaming controller that is compatible with android. On my new galaxy s7+ I am playing Genshin impact, a new and awesome MMO.

Here we are excited and happy that a 2001 arcade console game can run on a $1200 cutting edge 2020 computer/tablet. But the quality and upscaling makes up for the high end price I guess.

Excuse me even a 350$ (poco f2) device can do it. Many even in a 200$ device (poco x3) But sure.

Can you test on an Ipad 8th gen? I watched your video using an Ipad Pro and I think that it is great.

Just a quick thought, does that new switch emulator run good on it? I know it will work with snapdragon 855, 865, 865+ but is it good for this device? I guess you need a certain controller or something as well

Hey ETA Prime it would be cool if you can in future videos not just test upscaling the games but also show a combination together with shaders like Retroarch's CRT-Easymode or CRT-Royale. I know it's a pretty demanding combo for any system and you possibly can't upscale anymore up to 10x - but it's worth it because modern shaders just look awesome to our beloved Pixel Treasures ;-) - especially on these 4k High-Res-Displays Shaders make these games even more shine!

Will one of those HDMI adapters work on your TV with a controller attached via USB or Bluetooth for the tablet with emulation and gaming? Im holding off next year to get the tablet cuz it's not a good idea to do anything right now. Atleast ill have one with usb 4, like it makes much of a difference. That's what im looking for for the major upgrade....

I use Syncthing to sync my RetroArch Saves/States folders to my android devices, desktop, laptop and unraid. Super customizable but you can also completely wipe out a folder if you’re not paying attention so learn all the available settings…

iPad SMOKES IT. They have the best GPU, but their iOS leaves you with no choice but to get a Samsung.

I have the s7 with 6gb of ram, I can go at most at 720p on dolphin. Is that normal? Or is there a tweak I must do to have it go up to 1080p. Any help is appreciated!
