I dont think the speaker is that bad to be honest.

the speaker is extremely loud for a smart phone. Not sure why yours isn't.

Who still has this phone in 2017😆?

really good review! I've had mine for about a week and a half and I can't put it down lol. just to touch on a couple of negative things you said. fingerprint magnet. most phones are and especially ones like S7E with glass front and back. I personally always have a case so it's OK. speakers not being the best. I find them pretty good. they chose to have water proof and dust proof IP68 over speaker quality. I'm pleased they did.

The phone is great, but my biggest complaint is that the edges are always prone for accidental touches.. I have real difficulties using this phone without a case. It's sad that so many of the reviews didn't mention this at all when the phone came out.. From my understanding though, the note 7's design is much better to avoid the accidental touches

I've had my edge for about a week and a half and no issues with accidentally touching the edge menus. have you tried making the tab on the side small?

1983Dave1983 I don't necessarily mean the edge menu. It's not that I accidentally activate it. It's more than when I'm holding my phone I accidentally touch buttons or the screen that is on the sides of the display.. It's worst when you lay on you back and are going to type something.. But even when you're standing upright it can happen. The facebook app is the worst as it has a lot of action buttons on the edges of the display

Going from a Note 7 which was a defective one and saving myself $400 and getting the S7 Edge instead with a VR headset to go with it. The S7 edge is just like the Note 7 without the pen and the Eye scanner.

This thing even after a year is still hands down the most powerful device on the planet. It is still the only phone that supports 4x4 MIMO, the only Android phone that supports ultra low latency studio quality audio processing, the only device that can run two complete Android environments simultaneously on the same screen. It's amazing.

oh this is late but the shakiness of 4k is cause by the hardware and software image stabilization messing with each other turn it off and it'll save you and you'll get some nice 4k videos.

You talked about gaming being particularly good on this. But I experienced micro stutters in games like subway surfers, alto's adventure and temple run 2 etc. Has this been sorted in an update? I bought this in April 2016 and returned it coz games stuttered, palm rejection was unpolished as palm touches interfered in games that required thumb manoeuvres while holding the phone vertically, slo-mo video was jittery and the rear camera churned heavily over-processed photos.

Anyone encountering some grey horizontal lines on the s7 edge display? mine just appeared last night and from what I've seen it seems to be a bit of a common problem.

After using it after 4 years i love this phone, everything is perfect and speakers are medium not bad

do you or does anyone know how to fix a corrupted sd card? i got one for my galaxy s7 edge and it randomly just stopped working and i had a lot of stuff on it the SD Card was a Samsung 128 gb

I love my S7 Edge. No problems with it whatsoever. The display is beautiful, performance is great, battery is the best I've had in a smartphone. Just an all round great phone. I can see why this is a great seller for Samsung.

awesome video as always! i think the s7 edge is a perfect phone. best camera on a smartphone, awesome design, beautiful display, best performance, great battery life. i can't ask for anything more. the durability can be a problem but i love putting on a tough spigen case so not a problem for me. i really want this phone!! can't want!!

how was the battery life? is it good?

Aside from software and hardware issues with the loudspeaker on mine, I love it. The only way it could be more perfect is if it came with a digitizer and stylus. (But unfortunately you can't get the Note 7 anymore.)
