Repeating what I said above: For anyone else with problems turning it off you need to plug it in and then hold vol down + power until the phone turns off and the charge symbol comes up. It MUST be plugged in to work!

I was charging my phone and then it stopped responding. I pulled out the charger and red charging light didnt turn off and the screen was completely black. it isnt responding to anything, even the steps shown above. Please need help.

I dropped mine in water, and it is doing a restart loop. Sometimes I could get it to turn on to the lock screen, but very rarely. Now after doing these it's in this restart loop but now the loop has added this thing with spinning gears and it says it is optimizing something, and I can't get it to go to the lock screen at all. Please someone that knows what's happening answer

Afham Harits Yeah! It was the battery the whole time one of the techs said that a sign that the battery is dying is when it doesn't work without charging in a charging port.

None worked, truth is I can't even get my screen to show up, it started off when it rained, my phone started spassing out and auto restarting on it owns, I couldn't do anything at once point, my screen started flashing green even during the restart ( which it did on its own) now my screen will appear for 0.5 seconds with a few green lines and it'll black screen again, it occasionally flashes i to my home screen while connected to my PC, any idea of what to do?

Chloe Wilson Arneaud mine does the same thing because i was driving and my jug of ice tea was slightly opened. So it tipped over and i caught the jug before it spilt evreywhere but a few drops of it got on the screen of my Samsung, then it worked for an hour or two then two green lines moved over my screen and my husband dosent know how to fix it

Bootloop happen on all androids sooner or later, the reason for this is just simple - high specs and expecially if you play games at hot weather. Iphones dont have bootloops, maybe some rare ones but its really rare, the reason for this - they never go over limits in any specs and having good builded chipsets and screen resolution keeps enough low.

This video is ridiculous. How the hell can I shut down the device in the first place if the phone is stuck in a bootloop? Cause you can't pull out the battery from this phone. And you can only force reset it, not force shutdown it. You made 2 or more videos about this and they are completely worthless.

Try the smack method a few more times. Typically when you are caught in a boot loop your power button may be stuck, jammed, or broken. Give your power button a few good wacks. Also play w your power button. Press in and out really fast.

The volume and the power button method worked just fine, phones back to normal all thanks to you 😁. Had just freaked the hell out when my phone made a loud buzzing sound and froze lucky I found your KZread video .

This works for an S8 as well the first two steps fixed mine. Thanks so much dude I thought my phone was a goner for sure.

My friend has an lg g3 which overheats and a samsung tab 3 which sometimes randomly restarts and problems like this occur on lots of android devices except my Samsung Galaxy s6 edge which works great like new and I have it from September 2015. I have lots of apps and games on my samsung so im lucky it doesnt have any problems as a phone and I really like my phone. You need to be lucky to find an android device with no problems because a lot of android devices are not amazing but only a few are amazing so you need to be careful of what android device you get.

MY s6 Edge has constant white light top left hand front side of phone, while stuck in boot logo restarting it just resets the boot logo all the methods you said don't work for me. I think the issue came from constant charging with wifi and sync enabled, but that can also be an issue with some apps on the phone. bad apps can destroy a phone believe it or not

My S7 Edge had the same problem. It happened shortly after the September security patch. I was casually using my phone and then it went to black screen, restarting every min with a vibrator noise. Your second trick worked for me!
