Thanks for a great tutorial. I was able to replace my screen successfully without any issues afterwards. I just want to say that this process CAN be done using a hair dryer however, it will take you double the time if not more because it takes a little longer for the screen to reach 185 degrees. I would recommend just being very slow and patient with during the process because it's VERY easy to mess it up if you are not careful. Since this was my first time, it took me nearly 3 hours but I was taking my time and doing it very carefully. Hope these tips help and good luck :)

By far the best tutorial I watched about how to do this. Very helpful, and I was able to get my screen replaced without a hiccup. I was using a hair dryer instead of a heat gun, but I found that it only took a minute or two until the phone was warm enough to begin separating the glass from the LCD. I had no temperature gauge at all, so I would heat the glass until it became just warmer than you can comfortably touch. Couldn't have done it without you JerryRigEverything.

Man he used to sound so different then. I remember S4 was a big deal back in the day. One of our friends in high school period actually got one as present from him brother who’s been living abroad. We used to call him ‘S4 Guy’.

Thanks a million!! After watching this, i feel a lot more comfortable on replacing the glass whereas other videos make it seem dreadfully scary on doing it because the amoled and the digitizer are so sensitive.

Thanks for this! Got the glass off first time without any issues. I used cooking twine to assist in place of the wire/cards and that was very effective. Keep up the good work!

Clear and concise. Excellent video. I used a hair dryer and stiff business card. It took longer. Had to be more careful about force. This is because a heat gun like the one in this video puts out much higher heat than a hair dryer.

Just did a successful screen replacement on a Galaxy Light from watching your video. Thanks! It went totally smoothly. Screen separation was actually a little easier, I think the adhesive was only around the edges. Excellent video, thanks again for sharing.
