didnt think id prefer a lot of oneplus photos in this regard, impressive camera system especially for the price

The video stabilization on the One Plus 12 is just NOT acceptable in 2024. It is quite appalling, which is a shame as it's photographic abilities are considerable. It matched the S24 Ultra shot for shot. That video though...

This is pure bs. His unit was faulty or done on purpose. I have an s23u and a oneplus 12 and in no video have I had these issues this guy solved and both are equally smooth

Oneplus by far. Galaxy way too blue and cold. Even struggled to focus in low light. Well done, Oneplus

Only thing i hate in OnePlus is the slider in video mode for zoom

I'm digging color reproduction in most oneplus photo's, but Jesus Christ! Video is bad. That white balance all over the place and the audio quality being abismal...

Yeah, unfortunately the OnePlus seemed to struggle with the cloudy weather white balance.

I just came from watching your comparison of the one plus 12 and the iphone 15 pro max. In that comparison i thought the one plus easily did, for the most part, quite a bit better. Here, it really does go back and forth, except for the disastrous video the OnePlus took at the beginning. What happened? Color, stabilization and color shift between lenses was all was awful. However, I would say at night, one plus did better than the s24 ultra. Go figure? Most of the time I liked the color and contrast of the one plus more, but some times, especially in what looked to be dusk, i liked the s24 ultra better. It kept more detail, but did tend to make the photos look more like a gloomy day and not so much like dusk. I also think the s24 ultra was way too blue a lot of the time, but the one plus did that sometimes also. I also think that the higher zoom on the s24 ultra is much better than the one plus. The one plus does a really great job exposing lights at night. They both have things to work on. Hopefully updates will fix the problems on both.

I always think that the dark parts on the one plus are just too dark. Its just dark shadow and i believe would still be able to see those areas. No wonder i like the pixel camera so much. :D

Gcam ports exist for a reason. My old S9+ could make with it photos comparable with S20.

Oneplus photos tend to be a little darker or under exposed and a tad warmer.

I prefer OnePlus 12 photos

Buddy...the mic on your OnePlus is being blocked or something lol. It doesn't sound anything like that.

The Samsung's photos and videos are not looking Color accurate...They cast rather little bluish tint...If my eyes are not wrong, the sand Color in the beach is looking very much sandy on OnePlus, whereas the sand looks rather bluish...

I liked the still pics more on the One Plus from the main camera, more pics was better from the one plus. It has some issues but i noticed One plus handles bright light like lamps and such better and in the video when you filmed your bike you could see better in the dark with the one plus, i think that was also from the main camera. For that price of the One Plus you can't beat that combination really.

Awesome video and thanks for the OnePlus 12 content. Regarding the colour differences between the s24 ultra and the oneplus 12, which one do you believe is more true to life and a more accurate representation?

In cloudy weather, the OnePlus performed poorly shifting the white balance into the blues, the Galaxy was closer to reality most of the time (occassionally like in the zoom photos it also had issues with white balance though).

I just tried a OnePlus 12 at the store today. The video app during video had presets for wide, 1x 2x, 3x, 6x. Does this mean that you are reviewing pre production software? Or do those presets disappear when you actually press record? I didn't try that unfortunately.

I have OnePlus 12. The options are for photo or beginning of the video recording. When you start recording. Smooth zoom control kicks in. It's better for camera zoom like in normal videos, made by proper camera.

OnePlus needs to add proper stabilization in video for wide , main , and periscope lense . And also need better sensor for front camera, 5X optical zoom with periscope.

OnePlus has nice contrasty shots and good low-light performance. Samsung excels in videos, HDR, zoom and Ultra-wide lens.

OnePlus photos look depressing. I have both phones and the s24u just has better hdr and exposure. I notice some photos with the OnePlus 12 have this redish tint and some of your photos have these too. While i think the s24u lifts shadows a bit too much sometimes, op12 is just too dark a lot of the time in shadows.

Thats exactly what i notice too in my test. Also when crop in op12 often too soft loosing details but s24u often to oversharpening and noisy

I think than the ultra-wide camera is useless in 1+ at this quallity level. But the main camera is impressive and could shoot close to the s24 ultra/

Pictures of s24 are slightly better. But stabilization of s24 is much better. But does it justify the price difference? I'm not sure. Thank you for your review!

Auto zoom now on the one plus 5 after update

The S24 is the superior phone in every regard except for the price, so I'd just get an S24 Plus with a discount and you're goof to go

Samsung has lifted the shadows as fack and to much oversharpening still also the white balance looks bad many times.

Stabilization was activated on OnePlus ? Shake like crazy
