Had the Note 20 Ultra, but I never found the need for the S pen and thus went to the 21 Ultra, very pleased with it, not trading in anytime soon.

I have the s21 ultra and im not upgradin until i see a big diffrence maybe s24 or s23

i got both.. i can tell my exprerience Design i think both are differnet i like both... white s22 ultra and black s21 ultra Screen same quality... I like both i can say.. different.. but i like both Camera.. s22 ultra got better stabilization... u will notice in X3 and x10 telephoto. S21 ultra still amazing but will take bit time to find good stabilization for X3 and x10 Performance... both same.. Battery.. s21 ultra is better. Maybe s22 ultra needs all the updates. As all we know samsung get better with time S22 ultra i think got small drain from S pen. Charging is waste of money the 45w Speaker.. s21 ultra is better S22 ultra its just ok

Idk if it's me but this is a major gripe about phones in modern days, they cost over 1k for a phone now and the least they could do is make it so we don't need a case on it, phones ought to be just fine without a case and we shouldn't have to worry about the back and front shattering

Phones aren't built with glass strong enough to withstand impacts to hard surfaces. They should start using a sapphire coating on the glass.

had both, as soon as the NOTE design was confirmed, I knew I'll upgrade. Is it worth upgrading? no, not at all, but a True note user will just do it. The S Pen alone made it a no brainer for me.

I was super close to getting the S21 Ultra but the moment I saw the S22 Ultra aka Note it was a wrap. Waited patiently for the S22 Ultra Never looked back.

I have the Sam s21ultra navy blue I usually upgrade my phone every 3 yrs coming from a Sam 9plus I'm glad I did no need for the 22ultra the only real life difference is design and the spen enclosed great video bro

I'm perfectly fine with my s21 ultra, I don't really need the s-pen. If I wanted to use it, I'd just grab my s-pen for my s21 for art

The dark horse of this upgrade is the Snapdragon X65 modem. It has proven to get better signal in areas last year's phones had little to no service. Game changer for people who live in or frequent rural areas.

Wish more KZread reviewers would discuss the new modem and new Wifi 6E capabilities for the 22 ultra that help with call quality, network connectivity, and battery performance. It's like they've forgotten the modem quality plays quite a bit on battery performance.

This may explain why my s21U has little no no signal in areas my Note 9 worked in.

i still have the s20 ultra in a full case never droppt it and still the original back and front plastic on :D and it works just fine so dont have plans on buying a new phone any time soon i"ll just change the battery over time and wait for the s28-30 :D

Yes s22 is a little bit better in video. Hope s21 u is getting some more upgrades when 4.1 is coming. I keep my s21u 1 or 2 more years

I have the samsung s21 ultra and I still very happy with this Phone

I have the s21 ultra and I did preorder the upgrade because I like the 22 ultra design better and the s-pen, I use it alot and it's a hassle to always try to remember where it's at or to ensure I remember to put it in my purse for the day, having it housed in the phone is definitely a +. Now I just gotta wait till April for it.

I pre-ordered based off the bugs my Pixel 6 has been riddled with but funny enough those bugs have definitely improved and the phone is actually running far more smoothly and without issue. Obviously phones take some time to sort themselves out. So I will be expecting this when my ultra arrives

Yep, these companies have more competition than ever. So, they feel pressure to release devices as quickly as possible especially with the shortages occurring. This means many times phones are released prematurely. That’s why I like to wait at least 30 days before giving an initial assessment.

Would have liked to see telephoto comparisons.

S21 ultra is the best phone Samsung ever made. S22 only has a better camera. S22 also has a newer faster processor but you won't notice any difference.

There's a few reasons... petty reasons but reasons 1. being software updates, the s22 is getting 4 years of support as where the s21 is basically done besides security updates, 2. The s22 has minor upgrades, slightly better cameras, slightly better chipset, 3. The biggest reason I believe is because it's the newest "note" like phone, but the sad part is there's a lot of downgrades since the note 20, 4. The designe a lot of people don't like the "camera cluster" like the s21 and iPhones Tech is currently at a slow point because there's really nothing creative happening, I mean there's the folds but that's it

The only thing I don't like on the 22 Ultra are the cameras sticking out. I wish they had embedded them like my Note 10+. Over all, I love this phone. The shape is just like a Note, so no difference in feel.

I can understand that. Luckily, a case can keep it flush. If you get one that’s form fitting enough it retains the shape perfectly as well.

if you are not the type that just has to have the latest phone, is the s22u worth upgrading from the s21u?

I think the thermals have a lot to do with having to make room for the s-pen in the 22 ultra.

My s21ultra still good for me but moving into a condo apartment , the signal really2 bad inside the house but really strong outside. Does the s22 improve in terms of signal ?

Great content. My wife has the s21 ultra. she uses the supcase unicorn beetle pro that holds the s pen by sliding in and out of a hole on top, just like my note20 ultra. Like the case you used in the video, you have to snap it into the case. Hers just slides in and out through the top. There's an opening on the side so she can slide it up and out.

Why reviewers only love talking about higher end phones especially when they come out with other younger siblings? You can hardly hear about S22 Plus or S22

i have both phones and the reason i got s22 ultra is cuz the camera was advertised so good and i need my phone with good cameras since im a tattooer in Finland and i use my phone camera for taking pictures of my work on a country where half of the year the natural light isnt a commodity so i need camera for indoor pictures. I noticed the s22 ultra doesn't do so well with light, contrast and colors compared with the s21 ultra even tho the s22 ultra might be sharper when zooming alot the pic already taken, the picture colors quality overall keeps being much better in the s21 ultra... its a big disappointment on that way cuz i just got the phone because of its camera "the best camera of the year" and it is not a cheap phone at all... the battery life isnt great neither but i could get used to that but the camera is a big disappointment for me so far... i wonder if that would be fixed with upgrades? cuz now i just went back to the s21 ultra and im thinking if i should sell the s22 ultra. i mostly want a iphone picture quality(not talking about pixels quantity but how the pic/color/contrast/light balance look? but i dont want to use an Iphone, I dont like apple products much myself.

The fingerprint scanner is better when you compare using it with a glass screen protector vs the s21U

Yes I noticed this too mu s21 ultra was a pain with the tempered glass. That was a major issue for me. Sold my s21 ultra as soon as I got the S22u

I got S21 ultra recently i prefer the design of s 21 and Is cheaper

It's almost a Note but Not! My 3yr old Note 10+ almost the same battery life when watching movies by 2% when the 22 Ultra is set at 60h. My S-Pen is way more responsive to touching apps & the display on my Note 10+ also but these can be fixed with an update. Many Noticed their Note 10+ batteries being drained after the 12 Update, including mine.. However, I love the hefty ness of the 22 Ultra, the brighter display, s-pen & the Cameras. These were the only features why I bought the 22 Ultra. Super surprised by the Antennas on the S22 Ultra also!! Where I was only getting 2 bars of LTE w/ my Note 10+? Now I'm getting 5g Almost everywhere & LTE+ in the same areas where I got LTE only in the past! I love it! Mainly because I can stream or use data Free while on 5g!

You could get a better experience in the S21 ultra. Not really a comparison between the Note 10+ and the S22 ultra. The Note 20 ultra is a better comparison.

We love our s21 Ultra and no I don't really think it's worth upgrading. We have the pen now and never use it mainly cause it's not inside the phone. We've never been Note fans

Watching this on my S21Ultra.. love this phone but Whats this obsession amongst reviewers about Bezel thickness.. i realise a smaller bezel means a smaller body in the hand without losing screen size but why is a phone better because it has a .3 or a .5 less bezel... Is it not better to have a slight bezel to act as a crumple zone to protect the screen from cracks if dropped.. 🤔

Every camera review Ive seen shows the telephoto cameras on the 22 are better. Sharper with better colors apertures are the same as well so there gonna let in pretty much the same amount of light weird you would say it's a down grade since even the 30 x and 100x photos look better on the s22 ultra

Samsung went with smaller sensors ( 1/3.24" Samsung sensors vs 1/3.52" Sony sensors). They're both tiny, so i think Samsung rather improved the SW (maybe adding detail from the 108mp sensor) and maybe the lenses. The 10x on the S21U was a bit hazy with low contrast, it's much better on the S22U. Still F4.9 and tiny sensor make it's usability very limited. I wish they would rather use a bigger 50 or 64mp sensor and one 5x telephoto lens. They could crop in and easily get decent 10x zoom.

Everything I did not like about the S21 Ultra is gone with the S22 Ultra. After a week without a side by side comparison, I think the camera may be better. I'm very pleased with the upgrade.

The camera is better in many scenarios it’s just not as consistent as the S21 Ultra. It also took Samsung about 6 months to really fine tune the S21 Ultra. Even to this day they are still making that phone better through software. I have no doubt the S22 Ultra will receive the same love over the coming months.

@@darkracer1252 some of the things may seem a bit trivial to you. I did not like the rounded corners. I did not like the aspect ratio. it was too long and too skinny. Also I was never thrilled with the camera on the s21 ultra. Trying to think of what else probably the camera bump on the back.With the s22 ultra in a Samsung leather case the back is perfectly flat. Last thing that comes to mind is the ability to use the s pen as a shutter button.

@@Skibumsplace i got the clear view cover. no problems on the back with mine. camera module is nicely recessed into the case. and yeah pretty trivial. i don't mind the rounded corners i think i preffer them to be honest. didn't notice the aspect ratio myself. to be honest the lenses sticking out on the s22 ultra scare me. makes it look more fragile. and i don't use the s pen myself so that's also a non issue. thanks. i was just wondering if there was something off about the s21 ultra that i hadn't noticed before. i'm loving it. (but i did upgrade from an s9 edge when the s21 ultra came out. so that's quite a jump)

@@darkracer1252 Is there a way to change the keyboard and also the vibration vibration when you text? Also every time I try to highlight when I'm editing any text a Grey screen pops up and blocks what I'm looking at during editing which makes it hard to edit my text.

You forgot to say that 240hz touch sampling rate is limited to game mode, so while not gaming you'll get 120hz unfortunately.

@@MychaelJordan868, I know. The touch sampling rate on S22 Ultra is 120hz while not gaming and 240hz for game mode. Refresh screen rate is variable from 1hz up to 120hz.

I've got both, I've literally got 2 days to make my mind up.. I'm just not sure if it's worth the upgrade or not 🤔

Im just waiting for them to put a screen on the top portion of a phone that is flat.

The sound on the s21 ultra is much louder than the s22 ultra and even the vibrations is stronger on the s21, not to mention the resolution is higher on the s21 ultra, did you have Dolby atmos on. I thought maybe my s22 ultra was defective but even my 2 friends s22 ultra is not as loud as my s21 ultra, it is super low I'm guessing because they had to make space for the spen.
