Man, I am a die-hard iPhone guy. I mean loyal to the bone to Apple iPhone and I have never like any kind of android anything but this new note 9 is pretty freaking awesome. From what i saw in yalls videos the dynamic range was killer. If someone wanted to GIVE me a note 9 I would definitely use it but......im pretty sure im goning to stick to my humble iPhone 8 plus lol. Awesome video guys. Thank you.

idk. I say that i'm a die hard apple but ill pretty much use what is best at the time. I stick with apple everything now because thats all i do post processing on with my photography. Idk, im not gonna say i wouldnrever switch to samsung. Honeslty, i think the new s9 and note 9 cameras are better then apples. Some in a lot of ways.

It’s funny that you mention dynamic range specifically, since that is where the iPhone X actually still beats the Note 9. The Note 9 has an awesome camera that ups the game over the iPhone X in a few other areas though.

Nakia Johnson Once you go Note you will never go back. Yes there are problem but that's basically the Andriod software. Apple software is great, but I like the Andriod much more cause I can optimize each and everything. And do a lot of things that IOS can't

ThX 4 sharing... Loved the music in the background (!), got my order in for the max (512gb) Note 9, nice photos... Glad to see actual photographers testing the phone, wished you had time on low-light an how the aperture worked out.. How's the tools available on the phone, like removing red-eye or simple procedures, be nice to take night photos an send it quickly to others., Also seen that some are saying the phones flash is a bit fast an to bright...

Switched from iPhone 6s to Note 9. Selfie picture is the worst I like the iPhone selfie camera more it looks more natural with the Note 9 it looks so enhanced hope there is a way to make it a normal tone like the iPhone. Taking selfie picture on facebook messenger is slow you have to be steady for 5 sec to get the right picture one move can make your picture blurred sometimes it takes the picture after posing looking like its a stolen photo. Battery of the Samsung note 9 is really good battery last 7-10 hours in full use while at work. *take note that you have to put the applications on sleep mode so it wont run on the background :) Screen is huge really huge. Quality is not as good the iPhone but its okay. I dont like the way they enhance the colors on videos. Outstanding features that iphone doesnt have there's a lot and it is really amazing. I wanted to try the huawei mate 20 phone but I dont really need a photography phone since I have a dslr. I took the note 9 to edit photos/videos on the go. Dual sim & expandable memory. Loving my Samsung Note 9 so far! S pen is mind blowing! Gotta get used to the grip! 😆 Phone is really expensive hope it will last for at least 4 years!

Renzo C But stock Android is still playing catch up. A phone like the Note 9, in terms of UI and features, is already like 2 OS versions ahead of stock Android Pie. It still gets security updates monthly. That's why Samsung doesn't break their necks trying to update to the next version of Android immediately. But instead they're refining an already superior experience. The late Android updates for Samsung are blown out of proportion.

I hope you guys get Apple invite soon.

It is automatic yes, but it is also manually activated too, at least it is how it works in S9. And the results, as many reviewers showed during those tests, are improved, sharper I believe in many cases during the day-time. So, just wanted to know how that system is working in Note 9, in the hands of Moment. :)

How do you shoot 4k on the note9? Is this just for note9 in America or are all the note9 phones the same?

I have been shooting with the s9 plus and moment wide(+ sirui telephoto) and the results are absurdly good for a cell phone. People can't believe the quality. Not something you want to be using for professional work but I have been having so much fun with it. Definitely overly sharpened but not a deal breaker or anything. Colors are stupid good. I have to disagree with you gents saying that the 960 fps is useless, it is actually fantastic in the right situations, you just need a fast moving subject, and the regular slomo is also amazing. Keep doing what you are doing, you guys are awesome.

Upgrading from Huawei to Note9 in November, only to be able to buy the Moment case with the ultrawide! Love your gear!

Been a pro photog since 1980. Used everything from Minox, to Leica, to Canon, film and digi, largest and smallest formats. Sold all my cameras and lenses after I got this Note 9 and came out way ahead, in every way. This phone has the best camera I have ever used. Especially in low light. Being a night photog mostly, that matters the most. Beats the top of the line Canons I sold, and fits in the pocket. Top of the heap, hands down.

Thank you!! Did you test the Pro features (ISO, aperture, etc) at all? That's the main thing that has me considering the Note 9 over Xs... Also VERY curious about how it does at night!

I needed a new phone on short notice and it needed to have the S-pen, as I use it for editing in Snapseed. I got the Note 9 a couple days ago and am loving it. I'm a beginner to photography but eager to learn more. I previously had the Note 4. Price tag notwithstanding, the Note 9 blows the 4 out of water in photo quality. If it doesn't break the bank, I would recommend it. One thing that may bother you is the edges of the screen are curved/beveled. Screen protectors won't completely fit right, causing bubbles, and when shooting it will take some getting used to. After acclimating, I've found it negligibly effects my user experience, but your mileage may vary.

Would like to know how the battery held up on your day of shooting?

How did you guys go about getting the footage from the note 9 into your video editing software? I shot some 4k video on my note 9 and when I tried to open the files in premiere and da Vinci resolve, it said that they couldn't open. M4a video format for some reason. i had a Note 5. loved it. Note 7 came out, starting blowing up. Switched to a Pixel XL. Loved my Pixel XL...thought I was going to wait until Pixel 3XL to get a new phone...pre-ordered a Note 9 today.
