Please guys try to know how to wear them right. It took me almost 3 weeks to realize that I was wearing them wrong. I had to realize that the silicon tip that came with it was too small for me. I changed to the larger pair but still wore the buds wrongly. When I finally wore it right, I was like a deaf that heard sound for the first time. I was surprised how tightly and comfortable it sat. So tight, I slept with it, ran with it, yawned, chew, shook my head... 1. The silicone tip you choose is very important, don't just settle for the one that it came with. 2. Make sure the silicone surface is lying totally flat without any visible part peeking at you when you look at your ears. Note: My mistake was that the silicone was not totally flat, I was always seeing a portion of it. I hope I helped. This really, really fits. It's surprising!

I have both and honestly the airpods just fit better and the touch controls on the beans kinda suck. Buds plus had better touch response but those were worst fit on me

Pretty sure most of the material for the Galaxy Buds Live's ANC was pretty clear that the ANC focus was specifically on lower frequencies only. So many people reviewing these bashing that it's not "real" ANC and a false claim, but samsung never claimed that they block all/most frequencies. Plus, the open design is better for your overall ear and hearing health. People keep forgetting that closed earbuds that force all the sound directly to the eardrum with no escape are one of the leading causes of hearing loss and damage. Ever since our world adapted to earbuds there has been a major surge on hearing damage. So big props to samsung for being creative and leaping out of the box to try to both be different, and fix the real issues (health).

Exactly... and also they are much much more comfortable than the previous designs and the airpods pro, they are amazing!!! Im so proud of samsung for giving us this amazing product that is 100$ cheaper than those airpods ( i feel dumb for buyng them) im not hating on apple i just think that theyre a bit overpriced, i dont see a difference between the airpods and the airpods pro ( tried them both) except the NC which was missing in the airpods BUT FOR REAL THO I THOUGHT THAT I WILL GET SOME EXTRAORDINARY BUDS FOR 250$... but instead i got a toothbrush looking earbuds ( i haaaate the design) and the NC which is not the best ever i am selling them of course and ill stick to these buds live for now

@@matthewmendoza1366 use a dongle. i havent tried the airpods or buds live vs the tws pro, but i use the tws for basic things like call and music and it works well, then i use real speakers when i get home. sure maybe the airpods or budslive has better sounds than the tws but i dont think that extra sound is worth shelling that much money for the average person who just wants to make a call or listen to music and doesnt care about the extra details. if you care, then buy the airpods pro.

I have both AirPods Pro and buds live. IMO the buds are louder, more bass, and comfortable.

Samsung is literally reaching weird and awesome boundaries of technology.

Then there's me watching this with my $10 wired earbuds

@bacon froyo Damn, then the regular AirPods must be complete dog shit. I haven't heard a single Audiophile say that the Buds have a trashy sound. The problem is that they're the earbud version of OpenBack headphones while most people are use to closed back.

What I like the most about you is that you say things as it is, your honesty rating products and that is the most professional part.

Really impressed with the buds, didn't buy them for NC but the sound is really full and I forget they're in they're so comfy.

The more I use these the more I like them. They're not your typical earbuds that uses the silicone or memory foam to seal it instead, it gives you the natural ambience where you can still can hear your surroundings at the same time enjoying the full range sounds of music. And it's very comfortable to wear without the itch you normally get from earbuds.

I think this was designed for people like me who can't wear in ear buds for long periods. Plus because they are not fully sealed they don't completely drown out the world which is why I think they are using the live branding. Looking forward to using these at work.

I've been waiting for something like this. Don't like having my surroundings muted out with the in ear style buds.

I been using the normal buds for over a year and I love them. And since I got the note , Im waiting for my buds live right now. Cant wait to try them!

@Matthew I liked them. Fit perfectly. Don't fall while jogging, and the sound quality is good. Plus, don't hurt ears even after keeping them for hours. I like the option to change music settings like bass, soft, etc. Plus, they are light and therefore they don't feel uncomfortable in the ears.

@@hamdahxa7587 For me, they are perfect. The only con I think is that if you have to itch upper portion of your ear, you have to remove the buds. I guess that might be true for most other buds as well. But other than that, I found them worth their value.

As said in the announcement, it's designed to block low frequency sounds, but not high frequency so that you could hear the people talking to you, unlike some other brands. But nonetheless it can block wind, people talking in the distance, birds chirping, dogs barking from a distance, and other people's footsteps for me but not loud noises. Hope this helps! :)

I just got Buds live, it will take some getting used to when it comes to putting them on. Sound is pretty good for what it is.

Love everything about these earbuds. Fits perfectly and sound and call quality both are amazing and beyond my expectations.

I'm also glad I got to listen to you test the music through the same exact earbuds

I've got the buds live with s21 plus, the noise anc cuts out noises that interfere with your ability to hear your music clearly. I drove a very loud gas powered golf cart using anc. I could still hear the cart but the music seemed to take priority over the background noise. It's like a audio focus shift I suppose.

Lew don't know what he's talking about. He seemed so uninterested doing the test too. You knew right off the bat he was gonna say the regular airpods were gonna sound better. I can't wait to get mine to see who's been truthful and who hasn't!

When you want new hearing aids

3:04 - thing to keep in mind is cancelation doesn't need to be air tight. It works by inverting the current sound wave, thus "canceling". I can see your point where it may just be different (no dampening quality), but but likely a design consideration not flaw. (I'll take all day comfort over itchy/sweaty/sore ears, personally)

Yes... and... no. Yes, active cancellation works in theory by inverting the sound waves. This is true. But active cancellation isn't even 50% of the actual cancellation. Passive cancellation is what does the heavy lifting of blocking the bulk of sound from entering your ears in the fist place, and it will always be more efficient - we cannot bend the laws of physics. Also, active cancellation only works on sound waves that *can* be inverted properly in real life, AKA white noise. Outside of a plane/subway and to cancel sounds like : rain, a microwave, an air purifier and so on, it cannot really do anything. It just works on constant long noises, not sudden ones like a gulp of wind or a car alarm. This is why those things will *always* be heard on the other side of the call no matter how crazy good the cancellation is. Bottom-line : I love the live because they're not gonna hurt your hearing and are crazy confortable. I love an open-air design. But if you're looking for really any level of noise cancelling, they are going to fall flat in practice 100%. As a sound engineer, there wasn't even a need for me to look at reviews to know that. I do however command them they even attempted to re-create a portion of the experience of using sealed buds with an open-air design, making it even more innovative. But it's logically, in terms of physics, not gonna work.

@@jas_bataille I appreciate the more in depth response. Want trying to elude to these being over and above a bose or other full headset, so sorry if that came out wrong. But knowing they're an open ear bud, and can take the vast majority of the white noise you described, I think they're an amazing product. Esp from the perspective of something you can wear, comfortably, all day (and I do, use them as primary headset for calls, with music in between).

Regarding "partial" active noise cancellation, Samsung went for unclogging your ears to let the healthy air circulate and went for much larger 12mm bass to conpensate.

Something I like about Samsung earbuds is their updates and improving their sound quality. I still have my original Galaxy Buds (not plus) and I see big difference after couple of updates.

How is the mic on the Samsung live buds? I noticed that isn’t something you usually review but many of us use ours often for phone calls and it would be super useful.

I just got these a few weeks ago and omg just in love they're so comfortable and have such a rich bass im going to get my husband a pair he still has the buds plus.

Ill go with the galaxy buds🤩 so adorabele design, love it.

Just picked up a set of Galaxy Buds Live last weekend. The call quality of these things is AMAZING. People have said I come through clearer with these than I did with my Plantronics 5220 or even just with my phone and no headset. They're awesome... I refuse to pad the pockets of Apple in any way. So it doesn't matter how good the Apple pods are.

I waited for a product like this for a long time. I really can't wear the in-ear earbuds, they are uncomfortable and also slip out easily. None of the sizes fit me, so I was trying and also had a hard time finding and buying regular old style earbuds.

I prefer the AirPods

I'm late. But I just gave in and bought the Live. May have spent 15 mins looking for them...didn't realize they were in my ear. Combination of being overworked and them being so comfortable

Especially when putting your head on a pillow. Regular earbuds, airpods just won't cut it for me. The Live ones sir comfortable even during rest period.

i just got the buds live and did my first work out with them yesteday and i love them. i was using the og galaxy buds before and i over long periods of use they would become uncomfortable the live's fit very nice in my ears and sound great. i wonder how he got a matt finished case tho. i got the black ones but my case has gloss finish to it.

sound quality is superb...I was worried that they removed one driver and settled with a single driver, but I guess a 12mm driver was enough for such good sound quality

Listening to this through the buds live. I have to say that the sound is surprisingly good for open type earphones, but the best part of them is how comfortable they are. You can really forget that you're wearing them. Would I personally buy them if not bundle up with the Note? Probably not for music, but for long format media consumption they're 👍. Comes down to personal preference, in ear VS open ear type of earpiece. Either way the quality is there.

Its funny that he's like the regular air pods sound better when everybother video I've watched is like oh these are a lot better than air pids pro🤣

Gonna go with the beans. I listen to music at work but still need to be aware of my surroundings.

I've been using Haylou GT2 TWS earbuds for about 4 months, and they're great imo. Samsung will always be my pick tho.

It's Live because you can hear your surrounding even when you have ANC activated.

That's with all anc models ...

The beans are made to filter out lower frequencies The scenario they used to explain this was if youre commuting on a train the beans will filter out the rumble and other noise but still allow you to hear the intercom when they announce your stop

I had been waiting for you to release this video!

I just received mine in the mail 2 days ago and so far I'm sold I love them. Also they go really well with my Galaxy S20+ maybe if I had an iPhone I probly would go for Air Pods but these things sound great. Im deff a headphone junkie so when I saw these were out I was excited. I own all kinds of expensive headphones but as earbuds are great for summer time. Too hot outside for my over ear Bose.

@@maicalbaronuldefetesti9188 I really like it. Its not mind blowing like some over-ear headphones I have spent a lot more money on. But these are the best earbuds I've owned for sure 👍

I am very excited about these. I despise headphones with silicone on them.

I like how they compare the first air pods from 2016 to galaxy buds live from 2020

Buds Live: They're made so you're still aware of your surroundings........... Pretty simple to understand why they are the way they are.

@@wesley7250 nah they're actually really good for talking to people without taking out your earbuds. I've been using them at work and they're awesome. It's the same idea with the og airpods.

@@reggocastro9301 Your right, I've seen so many people review them not really understand what they were designed for. I bought them deliberately so I can hear everything around me, I have sennheiser pcx 550 for ANC. They are perfect for people who want to hear surrounding and don't like in ear canal type silicone tipped earphones. I just don't understand why people compare them to any other type of in ear headphones or overear headphones.

They are the most comfortable, do the job perfectly. Perfectly tuned. The bass is amazing and the reality of the normal sound is very accurate. My new favourites 😍

Would like to see your review of the Google buds. I'm tempted to get them but I've heard the sound isn't great?

Lew: you might want to go from the airpods to the airpods pro, the price jump isn't that much. The price jump: $100. Me: visible confusion , they cost as much as the sony WH-1000XM3s

Please Lew, I know you don't usually review gear, but you guys keep teasing that ZCam, and I would love to know your thoughts on it given your productions?

I didn't realise that these weren't in ear headphones! I can't use the in ear ones as I find the pressure from them in my ears too uncomfortable, the Galaxy Buds+ also fell out of my ears a lot and I don't like to be totally cut off from my surroundings when I'm out and about, I like that little bit of background noise. Thanks for this review as these sound perfect for me and I've just purchased some to go with my new Galaxy S21+ 😁
