You must be a bit slow. You dont change a Galaxy S for a Galaxy A. It's a huge downgrade in everything. Only one thing a Galaxy A has better than a S20 FE is longer support considering S20 FE will end it in december. But a worse phone like an A54 will remain worse even 4-5 years of support later compared to a far better phone like a S20 FE. You upgrade a Galaxy S only with a new Galaxy S. Not with a Galaxy A, the middle rangers. Unless you are brain damaged.

@@hikingitalian4987 unless you're looking for expandable storage. The new S series don't offer, and it's pretty expensive to get a 256/512gb. I've always only has S series, but am thinking about not anymore now that they've taken out expandable storage. I use a ton, and without a big sd card, I'd be running through phones every year. I'm honestly sad I'm having to consider downgrading now. Wish Samsung didn't take out some of the main features a lot of liked in our S series all these years. I actually bought my Samsung s20fe when my husband was getting his s22 plus, simply because I use a ton more storage. I wasn't happy having to buy a 20 when the 22 was coming out, and here I am, at the end of the OS updates. I love the s20fe tho. Not as much as I would have liked the 22 plus. I have kids tho, and I use my camera a lot, as well as all the apps I use to shop for the family. I apologize for venting a bit. Like I said...I'm very disappointed that there's not an S series with enough storage that I can afford atm. &Samsung shouldn't be driving us loyal S series lovers to look at other options out there because of their decision to remove the sd slot.

s9+ 6gbram 128gb user here. I think my phone has hell lot of features which newer phones dont have. Starting from metallic body, corning gorilla glass, Samsung tv with free channels in build, spo2 sensor. and all the camera functions with a dual rear camera setup, yes a headphone jack as well, wireless charging, samsung dex support, and whatnot man used it for 6 years now. and still will use it for more years

@@cloviscareca S20 FE, melhor contraste, ainda vê mais nas sombras, msm tendo um preto mais escuro, melhor equilíbrio de granulado e de luz, além de uma nitidez mais natural, não é forçada como a do a54. Em contra parte, gostei de algumas fotos internas do a54, achei que o HDR trabalhou melhor, e também na frontal, mas não adianta, S20 FE ainda tá na frente ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

It's crazy how the 500 euro a54 can't keep up with my 3 year old s20fe 5g, which u can buy used for about 200 in my region. Except maybe for the night video part. Props to you soto for making this really good, in-depth videos. Really like them. Keep up

S20FE still the winner, specially on video. It worth mentioning that this test was done on Exynos s20fe. On snapdragon variant the camera performance is even better. However A54 delivers so much for the price, I'm really impressed. Great device.

A54 5G doesn't deliver for its price at all, sorry. And the S20 FE 5G is not much better than the 4G version based on what I've seen so far. Anyway, I respect your opinion and thank you for watching and stay safe.

Thank you once again for this super professional comparison. Isn't the main flaw of the A 54 the lack of video stabilization unworthy of a phone in this range? What is incredible is that they did not see fit to improve this existing and already decried shortcoming on the A53, in particular by Soto-Tek How to understand such a difference? Just that they don't test what they design at Samsung? or are they stupid or don't care about satisfaction, customer reviews? Or is it just a petty way to differentiate the A range from the S range? And finally, this A54?.. compared to the A53?.. what is the progress?

Hey Soto Tek, in recent update, Samsung added stabilization support for 4k30. I think you should do another test for A54 but with different phone or whatever. I not forcing you to do this lol.

Yes, so I heard. I returned mine. I might buy it again later on but at a much cheaper price. Even with the 4K video stabilisation fixed is way overpriced at £449 here in the UK. £300 at most. Thanks for watching and stay safe.

You should get the A34, same performance same screen but bigger, slightly worse camera and plastic back. but $100 USD cheaper! If you don't mind the teardrop notch vs hole punch.

I'm using the a54 and my niece uses s20 fe, a54 has major HDR halo effect issue and I don't think it can be fix through software update. I saw the same issue with a53

Fisrt thank you so much for this comparison (was looking for this for weeks !). By watching the video I told me A54 is not aas bad as I tought. But reading the comments and yours answers, I fall in a deep doupt. I don't know what to do 😥 I've always had S ones (1, 5, 7, 10e and 20FE 5G but just for 3 weeks as the screen broke (inside)). I liked pictures on S20FE (but disliked the fingerprint sensor a lot compared to the S10e). By the way, I have to buy anew phone. I would prefer the S20FE but I'm a bit worried about the updates. I knew and I also red you about this. And I also can find a European version on any website and I only found two physical sellers but its 550€ (475£). Quite expensive. I can have the A54 5G in a physical shop (I find it safer about the European version and maybe easier with the guarantee in case of dysfunction) for 430€ (with an official charger and the buds 2 (which I can probably sell 50£ (as I don't mind and as many people sell then around my place so I have to be cheaper). The only advantage I find with A54 is about updates. It wil get the two next android versions and security patches for 2 years en half more. Could you please give me your advice ? I don't play. Only KZread, social networks (as a follower), emails and the camera of course which is quite important for me. And very very important in my choice : I need a sd memory card (unless I'ld have bought a S21 ou S22). Thx a lot for your videos and hope for your response ;) Stay safe ;)

The A54 5G is not a bad phone but for me personally there are other better options. If you care about SD card maybe try the Note 20 Ultra. If not go for the S21 Ultra that it has a very price even the 512GB and possibly the 1T too. If you care about updates more then the A54 5G might be the one for you. The S20FE is better overall and nearly 3 generations older! I own the 5G version with the Snapdragon 865, and it performs as good if not better than when it first came. The sad thing is that it won't be getting the next Android version, only patches for another year. I got mine back in 2020 with £100 discount from Argos and was the best phone I owned until I got the S23 Ultra (again with £200 discount and free Galaxy Buds 2 Pro). The S20FE 5G to me is the best balance of performance and value. The A54 did not impress me in your video, and the lack of true telephoto lens is a no for me. Stabilisation was not as good on the A54 compared to the S20FE. The A54 dealt with wind noise better than the S20FE in your videos. Finally, I just come across this video and nice to see my former neighbourhood I grew up in, many years ago. 👍🏾

The S20FE will get monthly security patches for another year but then quarterly security patches for longer. My Galaxy Note 10 plus just got the July update and my Note 9 is on the February security patch this year. Thanks for watching and stay safe.

Sadly I returned my A54 5G because I wasn't going to risk waiting like I did with A53 5G. I might buy it again but when it gets a lot cheaper because even with video stabilisation it's overpriced. Thanks for watching and stay safe.

Hola como estan realmente se son 2 grandes tefonos pero creo que el s20 con el snapdragon 865 tiene mejores prestaciones solo que la bateria no es la mejor se descarga algo rapido tambien creo que no ew mucho para jugar la sensibilidad no es tan fluida pero en camaras y lo demas es muy pontente saludos 😃✌️

Hola escribiendo desde un s20 fe exynos lo tengo desde el 2021 y la duración de batería son 6 horas dándole maximo ya uso mediano dura hasta mas de 7 horas ya jugando me da 6 horas es un excelente dispositivo en este 2023 y mas con la actualización de el one ui 5.1 que mejora más El vídeo 😮 es increíble y también nunca un teléfono gama media superará a un gama alta ip68 Dolby Atmos Dos parlantes buena pantalla gorilla glass victus mi conclusión no compren el a54 si pueden mejor el s21 fe que es mejor que el s20 fe la única diferencia es el tamaño de pantalla de 6,5 a 6,4 del s21 de❤

I don’t care who hates but A54 is better in the camera an the battery everything else the S20fe wins it’s fast an won’t slow down or stutter when playing games or multitasking

Images in A54 are more saturated. Images in S20 are far more natural. When it comes to 4K video, there is no comparison, the S20 is the winner. There no video stabilization in A54, at least from what we see in the video, or if there is stabilization this is not working well. On the contrary S20 clicks all the boxes. Indeed there is a pleasure to shoot 4K videos with the S20.

as cameras traseiras tanto pra foto como pra video do s20 fe é melhor, só perde na frontal msm, mas o s20 fe com snapdragon 865 tem como você baixar a gcam, e as selfies tiradas com a gcam ficam 1000 vezes melhores que a camera nativa do s20 fe, ai é só vc usar a frontal do s20 fe na gcam que ganha do a54 na frontal, no resto s20 fe wins
