Hmmm.

As an owner of the original game I feel a little cheated by this move by Battle Goat, but I want them to stay in business and I will support them by buying the new game. I appreciate your videos a lot because they are really helpful in learning the game and there are not a lot of other content creators focused on these games like you are. Thanks!

I mostly feel the same way, but at the same time they did add new factions and for existing players it’s $10 which is about the same as the DLC for Distant Worlds 2 which also added 2 factions. So the real cheat I think is that they offered this as a whole new game instead of as DLC in order to shed their bad reviews. And I can live with that, if it helps them continue! I’m glad these videos are helpful, I just really need to get better 😂

Our apologies that our approach rubbed you the wrong way, but there are realities of the Steam ecosystem that are hard to overcome. Their Steam Nextfests are a big element of discovery these days and you can't participate with a DLC, but you can with a new project. As a small studio it's difficult to get a lot of reach these days.

This game reminds me more of aurora 4x than galactic ruler. We might as well call this Galactic Ruler 2.

New space strategy game? 🤔Never really played very many space strategy games. I think the only one I really played for a significant amount of time would be Space Empires 5.

Is it me , or you cannot view the statistics of your empire , like crime rate , health , law enforcement ?? In the research you can research this things but where you can actually view them ??

There are some stats panels in the lower left - I tend to ignore them because I’m dumb but you can see some of the info you’re looking for. You can also see some things in the almanac screen.

@@plamenzlatev1206Yeah that would be handy, right now you can only see your approval ratings, not what goes into them.

@@plamenzlatev1206 Checking in a bit further, looks like on the priorities panel, on the planet info tab, you can see literacy, unemployment and tourism for the selected planet. At least there's that!
